Fix and Clean- Wednesday
His main focus was on the display cases he had been working on for Amaya. With the two initial cases finished and set aside for her final approval, Dwight had started working on getting everything organized for that massive counter that was the next item on the list. He would need to bring everything to the forge itself and construct everything on site for something this big, so there was a good bit of planning and logistical details to figure out.
So, there he was, busy organizing piles of wood and gathering up the tools and everything he would need, suddenly realizing it would be an endeavor all on its own to get everything over to the forge.
“Gonna be quite the undertaking here… but will be worth it in the end right boy?” he asked, glancing over to the pup who was evidently sound asleep in his bed in the corner of the shop. Dwight smiled and shook his head and went back to sorting and organizing things.
[Expecting one but can be open to anyone who needs Dwight :) ]

"Dwight," she said, as she came in and, as a woman of action, didn't mince words to get straight to the point, "I'm going to throw out two words, and I want you to give me your knee-jerk gut-reaction to 'em, right off the cuff, alright? Are you ready?"
If he wasn't ready by the time the short pause she was giving him had passed, she was going to go on ahead and say them anyway.
"Shovel launcher."
And then she looked over at him with excited expectation.

"A shovel launcher?" he asked, making sure he had heard her correctly. "Like... a catapult for snow shovels? It's an intriguing idea... But... why?"
Yes Amaya, why? So very much why?

"Why not?"

He considered her for a moment longer before nodding towards the back table.
"Before you get too wrapped up in slinging shovels, I think there are some cases back there that could use your approval."

No Dwight.... No! What are you doing? Don't encourage her!

So crisis averted.
Right?
"Although..." Perhaps not, as her head tilted and her hand met her own chin with thoughtful consideration, "there's a good chance that what the Crumbler's shoveling capabilities is missing is also a launch feature!"
Clearly, this was exactly what the Crumber was missing and grinned eagerly, almost gratefully, toward Dwight for his fantastically helpful input. "Hopefully, I'll be able to get something working on that before all this snow heads on out, because it'd be a shame to have to wait nearly a whole year to give it a proper run!"

"So, what do you think?" Dwight asked eagerly. "The wood is red mahogany and I used some polished brass for the hinges, brackets, and hardware. The glass on the front of the case is tempered of course so it will take a bit of a beating and shouldn't bee too much of a problem if it does break.
please don't try and test that out Amaya. "I have a little scroll work carved into the wood too, maybe a little piece of Daventry to keep in your shop."no subject

Miguel got coffee and waved the mug at the pile of wood. "Is that coming or going?"

You were a friend, Dwight. No way was he making you try to fit all this crap in your arms or a rickshaw.

Even he wasn't too proud to admit this one was going to need some assistance. And he also wasn't going to turn down an offer from a friend.

"I'd say I'd pay ya in a home cooked meal but I'm pretty sure one basic cooking class hasn't improved things that much" he admitted with a slight head shake. "So... maybe a couple drinks or something one night?"
