It was the first week of a new semester, so Astrid knew to come in and expect a highly edited sign promoting a special for the week, because she'd been working here and for those two of a while now, but she had to admit, the addition about her addition was an amusing surprise, and it inspired her to scrap the whole sign all together and just put up an entirely new one of her own:

How was that for priorities? And she was pretty sure neither Summer nor Kyōraku-san would mind; the former would probably appreciate her entreprenurial spirit and the latter simply would not care at all.

Apu, on the other hand....

...did not sign her paychecks, so that was how much she cared about that part of the equation.

Especially not when she was pretty sure he was absolutely elated to find out that National Pass Gas Day fell on a Friday this year...

"Hey, big sis!" Kurt said with a grin as he walked in and saw Astrid. "How have you been? Guillermo and I are getting the room all fixed up! It's looking really cool so far" he said excitedly. "But we wanted to see if we could get a few more things for it and thought this might be the best place to look first?"

"Hey, Kurt." Astrid had, fittingly enough, been working on a postcard of the lighthouse when he came in, and she smiled as she looked ip from it, tucking her hair behind an ear.

"You're definitely not wrong about that," she added, "but you might want to try and stay downwind today if you can. What sorts of things were you looking for?"

"Eh if anyone tries anything I can always just do a quick port beside them, give them a nice whiff of brimstone for their efforts," he said with a laugh. It actually was one of the things he hated about his abilities, but it DID have its uses now and then.

"Right now the list includes...." Kurt said looking down at the paper in his hand. "A mini fridge, bedding, and some laundry stuff for now at least."

"Oh, that stuff not even hard," said Astrid, sounding almost mildly disappointed. "What? No blue milk? Flux capacitors? No gremlin repellant?

"The gremlin repellant, by the way," she added, "doesn't work. Total rip-off. But what do you want to cover first? I can show you the way. And," she hitched her thumb toward the sign as she moved around the corner, "pick up some postcards, and those are some good purchases to get a discount on."

"Let's start with the bedding and go from there. I got my hammock set up so just need a few more things to finish it off and that will all be taken care of." Kurt followed after Astrid as he took note of the sign and have her a grin. "And will definitely buy several of those!"
