Caritas | Thursday Evening
Had Laszlo noticed anything strange? No, but Laszlo was both (a) self-absorbed as hell and (b) nocturnal, so he'd only been awake for a few minutes by the time he'd made his way into the bar on Thursday. (Hell, the only reason he knew it was Thursday was because the cameraman kept track for him. Calendar, schmalendar.)
"I think we're in for a good night, boys," he declared, addressing the female boom mic operator and the male cameraman as he chewed thoughtfully on a pipe that had appeared from nowhere.
"You can't breathe," the boom operator pointed out, frowning at the pipe.
"Then I'm not in danger of violating any silly smoking laws, am I?" Laszlo pointed out.
Specials
Regular Human Rum
[no ocd over here, either! I'm not wasting icon potential so you can not sit in the lounge!]

Regular Human Rum

"Good thing," he murmured, "I never really cared for rum that much, anyway ♥. What've you got that's more of a spirit's spirit today, mmm ♥?"
no subject
And given the odds, there was a pretty good shot he'd see him again tonight, even. For some reason.
no subject
...no, no, that didn't make much sense, either, because one of them would just offer the other a drink, and they'd probably go prowling to pick up women to see how well they could pull off the whole twins bit...

"I am not sure lives is the correct term, my love," Nadja corrected, shaking her head at Shunsui as if to say, 'This idiot I married, look at him.'
no subject
Which was...odd, because he actually not only found it interesting, especially since, well, he was technical some sort of ghost and a gigai was just a hyper-realistic doll body for said ghosts, and he should have been far more pleased not only to have his eye back again, but to also have both eyes back just in time to enjoy the rather fetching woman who had just joined them.
Maybe he really would have been better off drinking alone in his apartment after all.
no subject
Unless Doll Nadja was here, and that was what he was escaping from. Who could say.
no subject
But, really...what wouldn't he drink to?
Either way, this was much better than being oddly shocked or blase about things he shouldn't be, and not having one of his eyes.

He almost didn't even know what to say. Sure, he'd only just met the guy, but he felt he could discern with confidence that he wasn't exactly his type.
He looked down in particular at the sake cup that had conveniently returned to his hand.
"Well, that jug's clearly no good," he decided.
no subject
This should be here all the time, actually. He'd make a note to ask Kitty about it.
(No, he wouldn't.)
no subject
...or perhaps he was just humoring Laszlo, staring with a rictis of forced amusement on his face as he applauded the man with a slow clap.
"A musician, then, are you ♥?" he added, with maybe a slight undercurrent of not really actually wanting to know more.
no subject
"Hello, there!" Ghost Laszlo said affably to Shunsui, looking him up and down. "Heaven's sakes, old chap, where have you gotten yourself now?"
"It's something called a bar," Laszlo told him solemnly, as though drinking establishments had not existed in the time of his own life. (They totally had.)
no subject
"This is him ♥?" Shunsui asked, looking positively tickled. "Your ghost you mentuoned ♥?"
no subject
And also sort of under lights that looked he was at a rave, or something.
no subject
"Hi. Um, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the class."
no subject
...give him a moment...
...look, he just had a much easier time remembering the names of his girl students.
"Ahhh, Kiem-kun ♥!" There it was. "Good to see you ♥! And thank you, that's always good to hear ♥. I'm glad you were able to derive some enjoyment out of the topic ♥."

...but instead, Shunsui just found himself turning from the boy and just...walking, drifting away from him.
no subject
Ironic, yes.
no subject
Really, now.
no subject
Now this was awkward.
"Is something strange going on?"
Because while he had been known to make a fool of himself, that was not something he would ever have thought of doing.
no subject
And for some reason pretend to shoot the bartender.
no subject
"Put your gun down now, baby human child!" Nadja yelled, looking irritable about the whole thing.
no subject
It was all a bit surprising.
no subject
"She's gone now," Laszlo told him, now wearing a top hat for some reason. "Oh, I miss her already. Tragically unfair, isn't it, for the whims of the island to make one's long-lost beloved appear at random?"
She wasn't really long-lost. He'd left her behind on Staten Island, but that was neither here nor there, was it?
no subject
In a moment Kiem would likely feel awkward for having been mean.
no subject
"But that does not mean you're not right," Nandor told Kiem in a stage whisper, lifting an eyebrow.
"You shut your stupid face. Laszlo, my love, this place is disgusting."
It was not. It was just Nadja, being Nadja.
no subject
"I think it's great!" he said with a grin.

"Perhaps you imagined them," his ghost suggested from beside him. "We do have such an imaginative streak, don't we?"
no subject
It was cold, he didn't want to have to go home without it.
