Furnado Animal Shelter; Monday [01/24].
Sakaki wasn't sure if it was just her imagination or not, but it seemed as though the cats were, in general, giving her a lot of space today. Even when she went to feed them, which was usually the one time they were close without being openly hostile (unless she tried to think herself clever by trying to sneak in a pet while they were distracted), they waited until she had cleared the area around their food dishes before approaching.
On the one hand, she supposed this was a good thing, because it lessened the chances of her leaving here decked out in half the first aid kit again.
On the other hand, was there anything more devistating than something so precious seeming to be so actively repelled by you?
Sure, they'd avoided her before, but not quite like this, and she was left wondering what had happened so she could try and figure out how to fix it. She didn't care if she got hurt, physical pain was nothing compared to the emotional damage aloof cats did to the heart!
