Astrid had to admit, she was a little suspicious when she came in and Apu seemed...well, at first, it almost seemed like he was pleasantly surprised to see her, which was odd because he was never pleasantly anything towards her, and it was Friday, so he shouldn't be surprised by her presence there at all, that was when she always worked here, but then, slowly, it was revealed to her, in an unexpected and almost empassioned speech, that he just found it so heartening and encouraging that she was finally coming on board with celebrating important national holidays like today's Wear Red Day, and she just sort of blinked at him until he left.

Looked down at the sweater she was wearing, which she'd mostly just grabbed out of her closet that morning blindly and put on as she hurried out the door to get to the radio station before the squirrels started to harrass her, which just so happened to be red entirely by coincidence.

Briefly, she thought of actually telling Apu this, but decided that, no, it would be much better if he actually thought she'd done it on purpose and would actually be nice to her for a whole day because of it.
