Magpie Emporium, Thursday (2/10)
Steph had all kinds of plans for things to do around the store today, like she always did: a couple of new displays, a substantial expansion to the Steph Picks section, semi-sarcastic Valentine's Day themed selections, a spotlight on indie creators (because she might not work in a record store any more but she had to maintain a commitment to indie anyway), and that was just for starters, but...
First she was going to have to put away what seemed like half the contents of the games library, because every single table upstairs -- despite having been cleared off before closing last night -- was covered in game boards and cards and dice. The hell of it was that all the games had clearly been played to at least some extent, but none of them had been mixed up, nothing was torn or broken, and if it did end up taking a significant portion of her day it was a pretty easy cleanup job, all things considered.
As for who was behind it? Well, Steph had her suspicions, and if it was in fact the gremlins, then... well, she'd let them play for free if it kept them happy and, you know, hopefully not biting her. Or the clientele. But mostly her.
[OOC: Open! And even relatively present mentally, today.]

"Hey, Steph." Sorry, Steph, your free order of painfully earnest puppy crush had arrived.

Steph might have noticed that through the windows (her passive perception was pretty good, you might say) if she hadn't been in the back room when the door opened, trying to reshelve some of the games that had been played with and left out. She emerged with a stack of game boxes in her hands and set them down on the counter.
"So, punch anybody who deserved it yet?"
[[ARGH this never went through.]]
