Furnado Animal Shelter; Monday [02/14].

On her way to the animal shelter that day, Sakaki had stopped by Turtle & Canary to pick up a small, modest box of chocolates, with the intention of giving it to Kiem at some point that day, but she was already starting to second guess herself. She had gotten him some flowers, after all, but chocolates were much more common for Valentine's Day in Japan, where girls would give chocolates to boys that they liked. And of course Sakaki didn't think she liked Kiem like that, but he was easily the closest thing she'd ever had to a boy she would give chocolates to on Valentine's Day, so she'd picked up the box, and now she was staring down at it when she wasn't working on something, trying to fight with her indecision on whether or not she should.

She could just eat them herself, and never speak of it again, because it wasn't like he would know any different. And he obviously wouldn't know the cultural significance it would have had back home, either, so she could just explain that it was just something you gave to friends....

She was so distracted by the chocolates all day that she barely even paid attention to any of the cats, a turn of events that almost seemed to have the cats feeling a bit confused and perhaps even midly concerned.

Furnado is open!

Kiem no, the player had managed to miss the deadline for ordering flowers, so when he woke up and checked his phone and realised it was the Earth holiday where you sent flowers to your friends and loved ones, he decided he should at least try to not disappoint Sakaki.

It was late morning when he showed up with a yellow rose, a cup of tea (for Sakaki) and a cup of coffee (for himself).

"Hi," Kiem said, then looked at the cups and the flower in his hands and then at Sakaki again.

"Sakaki-chan. I got you some tea. And a flower." Placing them in front of her he continued: "It's a holiday for giving flowers, isn't it? And, well, I didn't realise I should have ordered them through the school but I wanted to get you this, since you're a really good friend, and I guess giving flowers is a really good way of saying that."
