Astrid had already pulled a good handful of art supplies from the shelf for herself to bring with her on the trip, which was what most of her luggage space was going to be used for. It was her last school trip, and she planned on making the most of it by spending almost all of it working on some new pieces. She was going to pick up a few other things she might need, too, but she was mostly figuring out the best combination of materials she might be needing.

And then arguing with Apu about giving herself an additional discount because these were, technically, travel supplies for her, and it wasn't her fault that the special he was promoting was highly up for interpretation.
