Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey was working on her jumps today. They were wider now, and the gravity around them was weird, but she didn't have any issue actually making the jump as much as she did trying to navigate the forces around them. She probably didn't need to worry about the effect gravity had on her muscles while attempting it, but she did, so she was trying to lean into the Force more and let that do the work rather than doing it all herself.

Plus, it was fun.

Anakin laughed. "And I'm about 60 percent sure no one's going over a waterfall in a barrel this time."

"Where are you going?" Rey asked, jumping down, careful of her knees.

[sith_happened]

"Kenya and Zanzibar," Anakin said. "Hopefully no one I like gets eaten."

Which wasn't the same as no one, Anakin.

"I don't even know where that is, but I'm hoping it's not actually as dangerous as it sounds," she said.

Or at least if it was she might be kind of jealous.

"We're going to get to track lions!" Anakin said. "In a safe way, I assume."

"I'm sure you'll be happy to yell at anyone who does it in safely," she teased.

"It is why I go," Anakin admitted.

[thatwaslucky]

"I'm glad you can always find something to do," Rey said. "I didn't realize I came back here just in time for it to get quiet."

"Is it a good thing or no?" Anakin checked.

[thatwaslucky]

"No," she said. "Maybe I'll go back home after work Sunday."

[sith_happened]

"But you'll come back."

Right?

"Yes," Rey smiled. "In time for work again. I would tell you if I wasn't coming back."

And then he would want to do something embarrassing, like cling to her boots.

He smiled back. "Good. I'd miss you."

[thatwaslucky]

That was going to get her through the next week.

"I'd miss you too," Rey told him. "But it's not happening anytime soon. I'm still going back and forth for the foreseeable future."

Anakin beamed at her. "You can tell them all about your new course."

[thatwaslucky]

"Finn already knows about it," she told him.

[sith_happened]

Anakin looked very pleased to hear that. "Really."

[thatwaslucky]

"I talk to Finn every day his time, unless he's on a mission," Rey said. "He hears everything."

[sith_happened]

"That's a very nice friend to have," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"He really is the best," Rey smiled. "He's been incredible through all of this, but I've always been able to tell him anything. So I do."

He'd never be able to look Poe in the eye again!

Anakin smiled. "I could do that with Aeryn."

They just never really...talked about feelings. That's what laser tag was for!

Or he'd be jealous. Either way!

"It's nice, huh?" she grinned.

"It really is," Anakin agreed.

[thatwaslucky]

"I never had that before," Rey admitted. "I mean, Kanan, but there were definitely things I never brought up."

Just like she didn't bring everything up with Anakin!

For which he was deeply grateful, Rey.
