True to what she'd promised yesterday, Annie had basically just ripped off -- borrowed inspiration from, whatever -- Summer's specials. But also true to what she'd promised, there was no jello near any of this. (It would have been a disaster if she'd tried, anyway. Annie for sure did not have the patience necessary for making jello shots.)

The one deviation that Annie had come up with totally originally was, of course, the pitchers of bright green beer she had up on the bar, which she would gladly pour for anyone who wanted to pay $4 a green Bud Light for some reason.

And just in case that wasn't festive enough for you, Annie had arrived in style, complete with earrings where she normally would be sporting her standard hoops. And don't be jealous, friends -- she had hats in case you needed to Irish-up your ensemble a bit.

Summer was definitely heading to the mainland tonight because, ohmygod, she could actually this year, and she was clearly dressed up and ready for it sans bow, because omg no, but she definitely needed to celebrate Annie's first St. Patrick's Day behind a bar first, especially since she needed to see how those drinks worked out for her, both professionally and functionally.

She looked over the specials board approvingly.

"I almost don't even know where to start! Ohmygod," she realized, "is this what it feels like?"

"It's exactly what it feels like," Annie assured her, clearly proud of her handiwork. "Except I'm not as talented as you, and I've never had someone try to drink all of my specials, and also I don't have anything with mayonnaise for you to avoid."

The tradition of being shirtless and in leather was clearly far greater and more powerful than anything tied with a holiday that Gladio knew nothing about, although there was clearly one thing about it catching his eye that he might be more open to than wearing a color that wasn't black or shirtless.

"Just today," Annie replied, picking up a pitcher and gesturing to it like it was a prize on a game show. "But I also need to warn you that you should probably put on one of these hats or something before someone pinches you."

Diego didn't even want to know how Annie had found a tacky green shirt for him so quickly. The determination to see him in color was that strong, he guessed.

It also just wasn't that hard this time of year. Tacky green shirts were harder to come by outside of the first two weeks of March.

"You don't want anything more adventurous?" Annie asked, already pouring one for him and just openly beaming at that tacky, tacky shirt, with its tacky, tacky clovers. "The shooters are actually pretty decent."

Look at that, honesty about her own bartending. Only pretty decent.

Oh no hat for Danny. Because he was a moderately supportive partner who was wearing a ridiculous shirt at Steve's behest.

"Green beer," Danny said, making a little face that said someone had dealt with their fair share of poor decisions with that stuff in their youth.

Because there were little hats, and no one was taking them, and it was tragic.

"To make up for how it's really boring in comparison to the other drinks," Annie confided, brandishing a pitcher of beer like a Price is Right model and shrugging. "It's just Bud Light with green dye, but green beer is like a cultural staple in a bar on St. Paddy's Day."

Will wasn’t planning on getting trashed or anything (those days were long behind him, okay, really), but yes, he was taking full advantage of being able to take a break from Lenten restrictions here.

“A Guinness, please,” he said, eyeing that specials board. He might even be convinced to try one of those other specials.

… Well, not the green beer, but the other stuff. Maybe.

I finally have a trailer for season three and all Annie does in it is cry and kiss her boyfriend and light up her eyes, so enjoy my other favorite characters being great.
