Some other people might not have been a fan of Apu's puppets from earlier in the week, but Shunsui found his that Wednesday and was absolutely delighted.
"And you even gave him a little hat ♥!" he was gushing, admiring the puppet and appreciating how natural it just looked to position it like it was sleeping there on the counter. "And the detailing on the haori is incredible, Apu-san, you must have put so much effort into it, and it shows ♥. I'm going to have to talk to Summer-chan about giving you a raise, really, it's probably long overdue ♥."
And now Shunsui was discovering that there was even a sake bottle attached to the puppet-him's hand so that he could drink from it, and really, that sort of attention to detail was impressive and honestly a little touching. Even if he was pretty sure, underneath it all, it had not been intended as a compliment.
Of course he was going to take it as one, anyway.
"You know what, Apu-san, actually," he ventured with a grin after a moment's thought struck him, "do you do commissions ♥? I would love to get one of these of Nanao-chan. You remember Nanao-chan, don't you ♥? She would be absolutely tickled ♥."
Apu did, in fact, remember Nanao-chan; Apu probably talked to Nanao-chan more than Shunsui did, really. Which was exactly why Apu was very skeptical about that claim, but, hey. It was Shunsui's funeral...
