Vi was wandering over the rooftops when she caught sight of the store and Illyana.

Filled with enough false confidence from Steve and Tony's class that she didn't question why she was doing this, she wandered in. "Hey."

Illyana looked up from her phone. "Look what the cat dragged in," she teased, leaning on the counter.

"Did you need a portal off-island, to get away from all this--" she waived her hands in the air, "--nonsense?"

And there was the realisation that Vi had been completely wrong about having a handle on this week, because she just stood there a moment and blinked.

"Sure," she managed. "If you want to get out of here, I'm game."

"I have to finish out my shift, first," Illyana sighed. "But then if you need to clear your head, we can go out."

"I know this week is a lot for first-timers sometimes. It was wretched my first year, I didn't know what was going on."

A beat, then.... "You actual Big Sibling did tell you what's going on, right?"

"Did you have to keep yourself from jumping your roomie and your boss too?" Vi asked her expression indicating there was a third person being added to that list right now.

She scrubbed her face with her hand. "I thought he was messing with me so I didn't pay that much attention."

"I didn't have boss or a roomie at that point. I did make out with multiple people during a game of spin the bottle," Illyana admitted. "...but Tahani and Eleanor were both very good kissers."

"Yeah, Tahani is," Vi agreed, with a slight grimace because she didn't needed to be reminded of that right now. Then, before she could help herself. "Wanna compare?"

Look, Illyana was cool enough it probably wouldn't get weird after.

Illyana blinked at Vi, and tilted her head at her.

"Are you propositioning me to make-out?" she asked sincerely. "I ask because I am terrible at human social cues, even after three years on Earth and two years here, and I want to make sure I am interpreting this correctly so I don't offend you."

"Yeah, if you want too," Vi said, elbows on the counter. "Doesn't have to be more than that."

Illyana thought about for about half a second. "Sure," she decided, getting up from behind the counter. "Let me lock the front door and flip the sign to closed."

"Okay, great." Vi was maybe a tiny bit surprised that actually worked.
