Caritas; Wednesday [05/11].
Summer's usual enthusiasm for her barnights was a little...diluted, that evening, as the sleeplessness she was feeling this week started to catch up with her. It was going to be a long, long night, she could already tell, and all she could think about was getting back home and curling up in bed and passing the fuck out.
Not that she'd managed to pull that off these last few days, buuuut...she was definitely feeling it this evening. She was practically clinging to her coffee, grateful for the fact that she could still probably serve at least jello shots one handed, like she didn't want to let her vertible bucket of take-away coffee out of her hand if she didn't need to, and just tried to drum up some kind of energy for the rest of her shift.
It really didn't help that Tino seemed obnoxiously well-rested and chipper that night and she was thisclose to just letting him run the show so she could go home andtry to sleep.

“Oooh coffee and shots,” Goose grinned when he read the specials.
This was going to end badly.

She sighed, shaking her head, wondering how her eyelids managed to get so heavy. "Must be an island thing, then. Last night, I even took a full ass gummy of this stuff that usually knocks me out like a light, but, instead, I just wound up staring at the ceiling expecting it to stare back."

“I think I’m going to need multiple shots tonight,” Liz said with a yawn as she half slumped into a seat at the bar.
Re: The Bar - 05/11.
Subjecting her to the last one in her current state just seemed cruel.
"You, too, huh?" she asked, now wondering if it was just a coincidence or possibly something rampant through the island.

Re: The Bar - 05/11.
There was a faint snort.
"Did make the shenanigans a little more interesting today, though," she said, PRESUMABLY, "I will say that much."

whatever that may be.Sleep didn't seem to be happening no matter what he tried and so he'd eventually wandered back across the street to the bar. If he was going to be exhausted he might as well be exhausted around other people. It might help. Maybe.
"Lots of coffee jello," he said, eyeing the sign. "And then... something else? Should I ask?"

"Or are you tired too? I can't sleep. I want to sleep. I'll try the coffee ones."

"Fair warning," Summer said as she got the...erm, drink?...for Steph, "it's not really a shot, more of a literal boozy jello cookie waffle."
She shrugged, like what can you do?
"It is tasty, though," she promised.
Re: The Bar - 05/11.
She had a tank top on herself underneath the unbuttoned hideous shirt, just in a much more subdued dark gray.
"Besides, I am totally taking you up on that offer for Pride. How gaudy and rainbow can you go with these things?"
Re: The Bar - 05/11.
Because, geez, Steph, famous last words much?
"Also, hi, have you met me? I'll make jello shot that'll have people puking rainbows if you let me."

But she did elaborate:
"I haven't slept in, like, two days, and it's the worst, and I'm about thisclose to asking my boyfriend to just mix me up the strongest fucking Knock-Me-Out cocktail he can muster."
And if that didn't do it? Then she knew something was seriously UP.
"And how are you, Jon?" she asked, and it came out much crankier than she intended. "What can I get for you?"
Re: The Bar - 05/11.
He hadn't slept, either, but yeah...not unusual.
Re: The Bar - 05/11.
A pause, and then, weary eyes now squinted at him.
"Wait. Is it your fault?"
The accusation was, of course, nothing personal, Jon. Just didn't hurt to check!
