Streets of Fandom, Thursday Afternoon
So, maybe he should have called ahead to let Buck know that he was coming to check in on him, but that would have sort of ruined the whole surprise aspect of it. Even if right now he was starting to think that everything Buck said about this place might not have just been a little exaggerated for Christopher's imagination.
Because wow those were a lot of stairs. And the whole castle thing looked different than it had in pictures, you know?
Which was why he was maybe gawking a little bit as he tried to find where Buck's apartment building was.
[so very open!]

Was he murmuring to himself? He was murmuring to himself.

"Seriously, Buck?" Eddie said, spinning in place to keep him in his line of sight.
no subject
Only one way to find out.
"Eddie?"
no subject
"Yeah," he said, giving Buck a fond smile at seeing him in the flesh again. But it turned into a frown pretty quickly once he took in all of that. "Are you feeling okay?"
no subject
Totally normal things.
no subject
"Four days?" Eddie demanded once that sunk in, staying all up in Buck's personal space to check his pupils and the lymph nodes along his neck.

For good reason, but Buck didn't need that part said out loud to know.
no subject
At first he thought they were just cool guy holding hands but now he was onto you, Diaz.

"I'm making sure you're okay, Buck," Eddie replied with a look that he possibly learned from Hen when dealing with uncooperative patients.
no subject
Totally. Fine.

You should have called, Eddie. His apartment was like a fratboy disaster due to the non-sleeping. Cheeto dust everywhere.

"How about you show me those things on the way to your place so we can try to get you a nap, okay?" Eddie offered, automatically moving to help steady him.
no subject
Was it contagious, the not sleeping? He wasn't sure.
no subject
"Is this something in the air?" Eddie had to ask. "You're pretty calm about it all."
no subject
Unfortunately it rarely ended in a blazing fire he had to put out. Lame.
"There's one or two things I haven't told people back home about." For fear of being put in a place with padded walls.
no subject
"Should I be worried?" He'd be worried anyway. Because he just would.
no subject
"I think we got up to way more dangerous things in LA. No tsunamis here."
no subject
no subject
"What is a good bar for danger then?" he asked. "Firetruck falling on your leg?"
Too soon?

And Eddie had totally missed him more than he let on.

He'd honestly just been walking without knowing.

"...there's only two apartment buildings in town so you can only pick the wrong one once. This place is super small."

Since he stayed here and all. And didn't come back to

Usually he got a naps in, this week being an outlier. "I figure if I want to deal with a shark on the highway I can always go back to the 118 for a bit."

"It's just me and one other guy at the firehouse here. If you wanted to have a job there you could just sneak in and no one would notice for weeks, I guarantee it."
no subject
He was so hopeful that he could help Buck get to sleep.
no subject
You'll see, Eddie. You'll seeeeeee.
no subject
"Of course you won't." Just be glad he didn't have his EMT kit. You'd be getting the good drugs, Buck.
