Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

This week sucked.

It was kind of hard for Rey to figure out what to do with herself before Anakin got here. She was too tired to do drills safely, she didn't want to risk falling asleep meditating, she she was just plain not gonna do the course today.

So what actually happened was that she ended up sitting on a crate and waiting, while resting her eyes. Definitely just resting her eyes. For real. Sleep wasn't happening.

Anakin came in, closed his eyes and groaned. "My children have not slept in a week."

"Them and everyone else," Rey said wryly. Her eyes were opening any times now,

[sith_happened]

"That answers my next question," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"What was the question?"

Forgive her, it'd been a week.

[sith_happened]

"Have you slept?" Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"No," she said, like she was confused as to why he'd asked, and then she shook that off. "It seems to be going around."

[sith_happened]

"I'm not a fan," Anakin understated.

[thatwaslucky]

"I couldn't come up with anything to do today," she said, apologetic.

[sith_happened]

"And I'm worn out from Lana's class," Anakin said, settling onto the floor.

[thatwaslucky]

"What was Lana's class?" She knew a Lana, right?

[sith_happened]

"Working with people you hate," Anakin said. "She's Sith."

So of course Anakin was there to keep tabs.

"Oh, her," Rey said, nodding. "Pretty nice for a Sith, though."

[sith_happened]

"Weirdly nice for a Sith," Anakin agreed. "I don't trust it."

[thatwaslucky]

"Are there no mean Jedi?" Rey asked.

[sith_happened]

"Other than me?" Anakin said, smiling.

[thatwaslucky]

"You're not mean," Rey said, and with a wave of her handed added, "When you're like you, anyway."

That made sense.

[sith_happened]

"I'm always like me," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"Not Vader," she clarified.

[sith_happened]

"Ahhhh," Anakin said, nodding. "Sorry. I'm tried."

[thatwaslucky]

"Due to the not sleeping," Rey nodded. "How long do you think this will last? I can't do much more of this."

[sith_happened]

"I don't know," Anakin said. "It should be over soon. We'll all be actually insane otherwise."

"One more day and I'm going to a hotel," Rey decided, something she only even thought of because Silver had once brought that up when something got dumb, and it still felt very weird to say it but she was tired and it was reasonable now.

[sith_happened]

"That's an excellent plan," Anakin said, nodding.

[thatwaslucky]

"I thought about going home but I don't even trust myself to book a portal," she admitted.

[sith_happened]

"You might end up in my version instead," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"Or in a world where people get even less sleep as a rule." Did that place exist? Who knew! Rey did not want to find out.

[sith_happened]

"That sounds horrifying," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"I'd just cry," Rey stated simply.

[sith_happened]

"I think everyone on the island is one semi-disaster away from a full breakdown," Anakin admitted.

[thatwaslucky]

"And I can tell that from everyone," Rey said, a little offended.

[sith_happened]

"It's definitely adding to our mental strain," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"It would be a good time for shielding if I could manage it," she sighed.

Look at her, whining like a Skywalker over here.

[sith_happened]

"Would you like a boost?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"I can handle it," Rey said with a shake of her head. "It's just one more annoying thing."

[sith_happened]

"And at this point in the week, everything's an annoying thing," Anakin said, closing his eyes.

[thatwaslucky]

"John left at the right time."

She did not mean that really, but like... the boy was smart.

[sith_happened]

Anakin chuckled tiredly. "He was very wise."
