Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

There was classical music playing from somewhere in the warehouse today. It wasn't coming from anywhere obvious, and Rey had tried her best to ignore it. It was just that she couldn't change it and it was really messing with the training vibes. Faster music was great for the course, but then it would change to something slower, and then she'd tried meditating until there was a song with cannons.

So now if you wanted Rey and BB-8 you'd find them futilely trying to figure out where it was coming from before it ruined her whole day.

"And maybe Allana will rub off on her some there? She seems well-behaved on the listening front."

She just committed arson that one time.

Really, who hasn't committed arson?

"She does like spending time with Allana," Anakin agreed. "That's why it isn't a hardship for her to go. I need to do something similar with Christopher soon."

"Just similar?" Rey asked.

[sith_happened]

"Juliet thinks of this training as hers," Anakin said. "She might see Christopher as an imposition."

[thatwaslucky]

"Ahh. Are there other places to send him?" She kind of figured the Empire might be a no.

"I might see if Little Luke would like him," Anakin said. "They are half-brothers."

[thatwaslucky]

"I don't see why he wouldn't," Rey said. This Luke hadn't been chewed up by life yet.

Anakin smiled. "Christopher's pretty low drama," he said. "I honestly don't know where that comes from."

"Rory's side?" Rey guessed, not knowing any better.

[sith_happened]

Anakin snickered. "Oh, you were serious. No, not her side."

[thatwaslucky]

"Oh. I wouldn't have guessed." She seemed so normal!

[sith_happened]

"It's a different variety of crazy to my side," Anakin said. "Less taking over the galaxy, more holding grudges over several generations."

[thatwaslucky]

"That actually sounds harder," said Rey, sentimental sap that she was.

[sith_happened]

"Not if you've met Rory's grandmother," Anakin said a little dryly.

[thatwaslucky]

"You don't like her?" Rey asked.

[sith_happened]

"I do now, but she's not an easy person to get to know," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"I assume because of all the grudges," she said.

[sith_happened]

"They don't help," Anakin said. "There's also several decades of unmet, unspoken expectations for her daughter and granddaughter."

[thatwaslucky]

"Ah. That would make things tough."

She knew from setting her own expectations for herself, but that was at least a choice.

"It's very much the culture she was raised in," Anakin said. "Extremely bad at communication."

[thatwaslucky]

"But that's something you can fix, at least," Rey said. "Difficult, but possible."

[sith_happened]

Anakin nodded. "Rory's grandfather is easier to work with," he admitted.

"What's he like?" Rey asked.

[sith_happened]

"Quiet," Anakin said. "Still. Calming. The opposite of everyone else. Maybe he's where Christopher gets it."

[thatwaslucky]

"Could be. And sometimes people are just like that." She assumed.
