Serenity Cove- Saturday
It was warm. Uncomfortably so, at least in Connor's mind. Rex on the other hand was use to is seeing as he was from the Cretaceous and warm climates were the norm. That meant that while Connor would have been content to stay inside and turn the thermostat down a little bit, a certain small green dragon thought it was the perfect weather to go out and explore.
And so there they were, making their way long the beach down from the apartments. Connor couldn't be too annoyed really. There was a nice breeze and walking along barefoot in the water felt nice. And Rex of course was entertaining as he flew around doing impressive loops and dives. Now and then he would even investigate the water along the shore though it was apartment he was dragon meant for flying not swimming.
"Give yourself some time mate" Connor said as Rex gave an annoying chirp at the waves pushing up on the sand. "Don't think ya would have spent much time near the ocean back home after all. It's not bad at all once ya get used to it!"
(Post and beach are open!)

Which meant please to not mind the rather large red creature in the water gunning it toward the shore, pulling himself out of the water with a mighty leap and a spectacular (if he did say so himself!) flip in the air to land him in a perfect crouch on the beach. A moment to get his bearings before he pulling himself up to his full height and flashed a toothy grin down at Connor with a triumphant, "Lovely day for a swim, now, isn't it?"

"My apologies," he offered, a hand now to his chest as he bowed a little in deference, "for just dropping in on you like that, but I do love a rather...dramatic entrance! I don't believe we have met, have we? Allow me, then," there was a new particularly bright spark in his eyes now, "to introduce myself! I am Sidon!" And, as always, he pumped a fist across his chest and gave a smile that caught just right in the light. "The Zora Prince! And who might you be?"
Hoping, of course, some of the shock would have worn off enough to respond!

"I'm Connor" he said finally. "And this is Rex" he said with a nod towards the dragon that seemed more interested than frightened despite the sheer size difference that was playing out.

Well, he actually had a pretty good excuse for not wanting to go into a lot of buildings, but that was neither here nor there.
"We do have wonderful products on hand for the reptilian set there, as well," he threw out there, along with a wink that was clearly directed at Rex, "should you ever do have the occasion to visit!"

His attention, though, was mostly on Rex. "May I ask," he ventured, "what exactly he is? Such remarkable features! And vibrant colors! Is he of this realm, or does he hail from some other one? You never really can tell around here."

"Rex is a Coelurosauravus. A type of dinosaur from a long long time ago back on the Earth I am from." Connor paused for a moment, realizing he wasn't 100% sure how this version of earth here on the island compared to his own in the smaller details of things just yet.
"Basically, back home me and my team were dealing with these anomalies, kinda like the portal around here I guess. They were opening to times millions of years in the past and at times some of the creatures from those times came through into our world. Our team was trying to close the portals and keep the creatures int heir own times."
Connor gave a fond smile to the small green dragon. "Rex here unfortunately got trapped here early on with one of the first anomalies we had to deal with. So, he's been living with the team since then."

Connor looked over at his green scaly companion and gave a small smirk. "He is a bit of a trouble maker at times. But I guess it really cant be helped."

Connor looked from Sidon, to Rex, and back.
"He seems to have taken a liking to you so that is good progress already" he admitted with a chuckle.

"Oiy! Rex!" Connor called out. "What do you think you are doing up there?" he called out with a bit of a laugh then looked at Sidon to make sure he wasn't upset or bothered too much. "Sorry... Rex gets a bit excited at times and likes to show off his flying skills."
no subject
"No harm in it at all!" he said. "And who could really blame him, with such excellent talents in flight such as those! Well done, Rex! Enjoy your well-earned perch!"

She spotted Rex and Connor and she did stop to watch Rex for a bit, “is he your pet?” she asked Connor curiously, she had never seen an animal like Rex before.
no subject
"Aye, that's Rex" he said with a grin. "And I'm Connor."

"Rex is a Coelurosauravus, a type of dinosaur from long, long, long time ago. He's kinda become the official mascot of our team back home. And I decided to bring him with me when I came here."
no subject
Sorry Connor, they didn’t have dinosaurs on Xelaya.
no subject
"Oh, ummm.... dinosaurs were huge reptiles, lizard like creatures mostly. They live a long long time ago. Most here really big, but some, like Rex here, were on the smaller side."

Well what passed for talking with Marc.

Which was one of many reasons why the flying lizard wasn't throwing him.

"Ah, yes. Steven" he said with a slight smile. "Good chap he is. And nice to meet you Marc."
no subject
Best he could do.

"And.... good to know his, brother (?) isn't one either" Connor offered with a slight lift of an eyebrow. "Was good to meet you anyway, Marc. Will probably see you around the apartment sometime I'm sure."
