The Perk- Monday morning

It didn't seem to be that music was following Rey around as much as the places she went to happened to have music playing from somewhere. Like stopping in at the Perk post-training, where the theme from Jaws Mandibles was on loop.

Rey took a seat with her drink and tried to ignore it, while watching one barista who kind of looked like she might lose it if she had to listen to this any longer.

Even though Sidon was not one to particularly crave coffee or many other beverages, for that matter, he felt oddly compelled to make a slow and deliberate path toward the Perk and duck inside that day.

Of course, since he didn't really drink coffee, he wasn't even sure what to get and just requested that the baristas surprise him with something,before taking an idle look around, wondering what it was that drew him in today.

Barring that, he did spot Rey and offered a toothy smile and a wave of his hand and a greeting of, "Hello there, Rey! Enjoying your coffee? And this rather dramatic soundtrack to accompany your sips this fine Monday morning?"

"Mostly," Rey admitted, and warned, "The music is on a loop, just so you know. How are you doing?"

"On a loop?"

Well, that would explain why Sidon would likely find himself swinging back around to the Perk several more times throughout the day, although he had no way to figure that out. He was only left giving the baristas a curious glance and wondering which one was apparently such a big fan.

His attention returned to Rey with another smile, though. "And I have been extraordinarily well, Rey! Thank you for asking! I have been mostly enjoying the freedom that the warm summer weather and the vast Atlantic ocean afford to me while I am here! Though I'm realizing I should spend a bit more time landside. It is a bit more...cramped," he shifted his shoulders a little to emphasize their current hunch and chuckled lightly, "but I do rather miss interacting with other people! Dolphins are wonderfully clever, but there's a bit of a language barrier when we try to converse!

"And yourself?" he then asked. "I do hope you've been spectacularly well and have been enjoying your summer, as well!"

"I haven't noticed much difference between summer and any other season," Rey admitted. "Any advice on how I should be enjoying it?"

"Plenty of sunshine," Sidon offered with an enthusiastic pump of his fist across his chest, "and a lot of swimming, or, barring that, just don't be a stranger to the beach! Wonderful this time of year, though I'll admit, I'm a bit more...sensitive to the colder months than most, so I do tend to get a little...zealous in my appreciation when I can!"

"It seems like you're doing it right," Rey smiled. "I spend a lot of time outside, but not usually at the beach."

"Well, the important thing," Sidon mused with a little bit of a lagh, "is that you are enjoying it, I should say! Where at, then, may I ask, if not the beach? Just out and about in general, or is there a potentially marvelous spot on island that I should be showing more appreciation for?"

"Mostly just around. But I do like doing drills in the park sometimes," Rey told him. "I'm not sure how marvelous it is, but I like it."

"If it's something you like," Sidon grinned down at Rey, "then it can be as marvelous as you want it to be! Personally, I like to go for as much marvel as possible!"

"I like that way of looking at it," Rey said. "I also think you might get more marvel out of things than most people."
