The Magpie Emporium; Friday, 07/29.

Graham wasn't sure if it was just him or what, but he felt like there was something a little different in the air in the shop that day, one that made him feel a little sad and upset, though he didn't know why. It definitely made him feel like he should have brought Triumph in with him today; that guy could always cheer up a room! And Saffron didn't seem that interested in talking about it (Saffron, in general, did not seem very interested in Graham), but Little Bot seemed very encouraging and positive about the whole thing.

(He thought, anyway. He definitely was not fluent in Robot like he was in most varieties of Animal).

But he did know he wasn't going to let the strange mood affect his game night, so, instead of worrying about it too much, he threw himself into a little bit of prep and planning and some hopefully good things to throw at the group as their adventure continued!

The Magpie Emporium is open!

"Four towers?" asked Libby. "Sort of like a castle?"

If she wasn't already going to school in a castle! But apparently, castle-schools might be more common than shed have thought! It did make sense, though, that there'd be more castles in England than in America.

"Which tower did you live in?"

“I was in North Tower,” Jo told her, “I suppose it was like a castle, it was a large grey building and the towers were at each end, it was on a cliff that overlooked the Cornish coast,” she added.

"That sounds beautiful!" Libby gushed out a little. "Is that in the English country side? I've always wanted to go there sometime, because that's where the kids go when they find the wardrobe in the meta for Narnia books. There definitely aren't a lot of stories about finding passages to magical lands in rural Tennessee..."

“It is,” Jo told her with a smile, “I was born in London but my parents moved us to our current home in the country because it was safer, when the war started,” she added, she paused, “I don’t think I’ve read those books yet,” even though there were a few parallels with Jo’s own early life, she hadn’t found any magical wardrobes at her home though.
