Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Last night had involved a lot of weird dreams again, and Rey was feeling a little off today. Not quite as off as she used to, and it worried her that she might have just gotten used to this. So it was an easy day of drills because she could do those in her sleep and not feel like she was pushing it.

Every once in a while BB-8 gave a low whistle of encouraging, and it was cute, if blatant pandering.

"Rey?" Anakin called as he came into the warehouse.

"Hi," Rey called back, already waving one arm to call up a couple remotes before he had the chance to do it.

She knew him so well.

"Hello," Anakin replied with a little wave.

[thatwaslucky]

"I've been at this a while," she explained.

[sith_happened]

"How long a while?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"Not sure," she said, pausing to think about it. "I'm not tired."

[sith_happened]

"Well, that's not necessarily a good indicator any more," Anakin said. "You have a lot of stamina."

[thatwaslucky]

"Thank you. But it doesn't seem
bad?" Rey said.

[sith_happened]

"Oh, it's not," Anakin said, "but we should work on making sure you're still keeping track of time."

[thatwaslucky]

"All right," she said, taking that as a cue to stop what she was doing. "How should we do that?"

[sith_happened]

"It's linked to meditation," Anakin said. "Just...an awareness to not just your surroundings but also time."

[thatwaslucky]

"Oh. I sometimes lose track of time then too," Rey admitted.

Anakin nodded. "It happens," he replied with a small smile. "We can work on that today if you'd like."

"All right. How do we do this?" she asked.

[sith_happened]

Anakin settled into his normal meditation position. "Like this, breathing in and out, but shallowy."

[thatwaslucky]

Rey clipped her lightsaber to her belt and sat across from him, mirroring his position. "Okay."

[sith_happened]

"Now drift, but not too deep," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"The tricky part," she said, cloaking her eyes but following instructions.

[sith_happened]

"Always," Anakin said, grinning. "If it was easy, you'd be doing it already."

[thatwaslucky]

"True," she said, her voice a little far away thanks to being focused on bigger things.

[sith_happened]

"There you go," Anakin praised.

[thatwaslucky]

"And then?" Rey asked.

[sith_happened]

"And then it's a whole lot of this," Anakin admitted.

[thatwaslucky]

"Is the hard part because it gets boring?" Rey asked, sincerely.

[sith_happened]

"Yes," Anakin said. "You feel every minute dragging by."
