He came back in, in the vain hope that something would have changed. It had not.

The busboy groused, but complied. That was why there would be assortedhandwavy tchotchkes outside with a sign reading "GARAGE SALE".
Miguel went to make the coffee.

Fries (they are already vegetarian, wtf)
Luke's was open!
