Caritas- Tuesday

Kitty had been trying to plan out some potential events for the bar for the semester. Three Minute Dates was coming up, but mostly she was scribbling ideas on a napkin as she or Tino came up with them.

She had no idea where he'd brought the white board out from but she wasn't sure it was going to be any help.

If Tino had a white board, then Rosa had an expression on her face that was not only asking Kitty why, but was also asking if she was going to regret the fact that her face was asking why in the first place.

"We're spitballing event ideas," Kitty said. "Apparently he had this on hand."

Okay.

"I really feel," Rosa stated, with a....dubious glance at Tino, "that your choice of the word 'spitball' in this scenario is really going to come back to haunt you."

"First, ew," Kitty said. "Second, Tino, don't get any ideas."

He didn't know what either of you was talking about, he did nothing but help.

"So far it's been tame," Kitty said.

"Yeah?" asked Rosa, still sounding a bit skeptical, or at least wondering just how generous the word tame was in this case. "What've we got so far?"

"Casino night, Talk Like a Pirate Night which might actually be offensive in this town, and 'drinking games,'" she read off.

"Would Casino Night involve dressing up like you're in some kind of spy movie in ways that make you wonder where was she even hiding that gun?"

Well, more so than people already generally wondered that sort of thing about Rosa, anyway.

"Of course," Kitty said. "Any excuse to dress up."

"I'm in, then," Rosa said, with a nod.

As if she wouldn't have said that to basically anything Kitty had suggested.

Which...there were definitely a few things she probably would have still said no to! But not a lot.

"Great. Then that one's a go," Kitty decided. "Can I get you a drink?"

"I'll take a bellini," Rosa decided, without even missing a beat.

Blame the earlier movie marathon classroom prep.

"Coming right up," Kitty said, starting on the drink. "How's your week?"

Rosa shrugged a little. "Uneventful," she admitted. "Not a bad thing. Anna made a new friend, at least, and now it's just preparing for the incoming semester."

A roll of her eyes. God, she was turning into her father, wasn't she? When did that happen?

"How 'bout you?"

"Uneventful, which is why I'm doing this," she answered. "Tell me you get to have puppy play dates."

"Ew," said Rosa. "Why would I want puppy play dates?"

It should be stated, for the record, that puppy play dates with Kitty's dogs were the only acceptable puppy play dates, and were clearly exceptions to this sentiment.

"I just take her to the park and occasionally there's another dog there whose owner seems tolerable."

"Did you need a bigger specials board?" Stark asked, giving the whiteboard an odd look.

[throughaphase]

"Because puppies are adorable and you can ignore the owner," Kitty shrugged, setting the drink down.

[throughaphase]

"Tino's being a planner while working out events," Kitty explained.

[stykera]

"Tino is planning events? Should I be concerned?"

Because Stark was concerned. Nothing good could come of this!

"I wish the owners knew about that last part," Rosa muttered, picking up the drink with an appreciative nod before taking a sip. "I practically got this guy's entire life story."

Well, the story about how he got the dog, anyway, but it was overly detailed enough and unasked for enough that it counted as pretty much the same thing.

"Have you tried headphones?" Kitty asked.

[throughaphase]

"Nah, we're just throwing out ideas. Nowhere near the planning stage," Kitty assured him. "Can I get you a drink?"

[stykera]

"Something with bubbles," Stark decided. "Surprise me?" Because it was safe to say that on Tuesdays but never on Wednesdays.

"Have you found any good ideas yet?" Did he need to leave town on any particular evenings?

[throughaphase]

This was how you got mimosas.

"Rosa okayed casino night. The rest, eh," she admitted.

[stykera]

Mimosas were delicious though.

"I haven't done that before. Or been to a casino." Weirdly no space shenanigans had taken place in casinos. What a missed opportunity. "But it doesn't sound terrible."

Surely Tino had come up with something awful too.

[throughaphase]

"It should be fun, once I figure out what we're playing for," she said, sliding over the drink. "I like an excuse to dress up."

[stykera]

"I don't usually dress up. Unless there's a party that needs it." Assuming Stark was attending said party, anyway.

"I might need someone to tell me what to wear for a casino night."

"And that," said Rosa, with another lift of her drink, "is why I have nerds for friends. Smart."

She supposed it could get annoying if people asked her what she was listening to, but maybe she could just tell them it was the horrible screams of murdered children, or something.
