Wanda had remembered to put on people clothes when she came into work (late) today. Sweats and flip flops counted as people clothes, right? There wasn't a cape involved, so it counted.
She had spent the last week or so on a Darkhold bender, and even she had to tap out eventually. So she actually came into work, threw her hair up in a messy bun, and got to looking at the growing pile of paperwork that she had been neglecting.

Not to mention that the whole reason she'd decided to swing by and visit was because she hadn't actually seen Wanda since the whole Kleinfeld thing. Bad friend alert number two, right there.
"So like," she greeted Wanda as she wandered in, looking around, "is this the place to go if I want to burn some sage in our apartment?"
A pause, and, "I don't even know why people do that, actually."

Well, Annie was planning a wedding and Wanda was planning to get her kids back. They had been busy.
"To be honest, I don't know what the majority of this stuff does."

Annie really needed to worry more about ending up somewhere without any wiring to speak of, honestly.
"Probably easier to not end up in a situation where you're like, 'Damn, if only I had my pointy hat and some eye of newt.'"

It was getting easier to say that every time she shared with someone.

We've reached that level of exhaustion. You tell her how she should feel, please.

And also the whole thing where she wasn't a corporate pawn anymore, yadda yadda.

Annie had taken a fly-swatter to some kind of creepy disembodied finger thing that kept trying to touch her on Sunday, which she didn't think would have happened on the mainland.

And also with the concept of what she was assuming were sexually-transmitted powers.

It was entirely possible Maeve had tried while drunk last September and Annie hadn't seen, just saying.

That seemed better than being definitively unworthy, right?

Probably not, but if anyone from her universe could....

As such... wearing a cape to stop in.
"I like your giant skeleton," she remarked, glancing back at it as she stepped into the shop to shamelessly latch onto a person who was a friend of a friend and not Captain America. Way to be the less intimidating one, Wanda.

"Oh, yeah, that's Jeff," Wanda said, feeling slightly guilty she had been ignoring him lately. At least it seemed like Scott took care of him? "He's sort of our mascot."

"I can see it," Jane said, clearly thinking it over. "Skeletons fit the magic theme."
That a weirdly colored tendrils of power in the air.

"I don't know how I'd feel about a New Jersey accent on a skeleton," Jane had to admit. "Maybe because most of the 'magic people' I've met had mostly had British accents."

Think high school production of Fiddler on the Roof.

It was good to hear he was doing well even with, well, everything.

No, that was Loki.
no subject
Because Loki clearly got that bad habit from his brother.

AKA Wanda barely knew what day it was half the time and forgot to ask.

Though...of the people she knew of on the island none of them would actually disappear, if things went the same. She didn't know if that was better or worse.
