Eddie had spruced up the manager's office a bit, adding a couch he had gotten cheap so he had something not a pool table to sleep on. A few Iron Maiden posters and a new guitar and he'd really be at home.

One of the teenagers even gifted him with Christmas lights to put up. Because nothing said "burnout" like Christmas lights in September. Or you were trying to contact someone in the Upside Down. Either/or.

Eddie would be wandering in and out from the manager's office.

Has Jaskier ever been in a bowling alley before now? No. Did that stop him from exploring this place as a potential location for one of his classes? Also no. It was pure, dumb luck that he wandered in there.

"Oh, this is not at all what I expected here," he admitted.

"...which part?" It all looked fairly standard to him, even by his ancient 1986 standards.

"Would saying 'everything' explain it?" Jaskier ventured.

"Do they not have bowling alleys at the Ren Faire?" Eddie, you damn well knew they didn't, you big nerd.

Also this guy's voice sounded familiar.

Was it from his famous breakup music?

"I am from not from a Ren Faire and I'll thank you to notice my clothing is far better than anything sold at them."

Oh, now he was just being catty.

"So you're just a weirdo then?" Eddie joked.

Seriously, this whiny British voice was just irking something in him, where had he heard it before...

Jaskier made an affronted little squawk at that. "I'm not a weirdo! Who has been saying that? Is it Yennefer? I thought we were doing better now!"

"I don't know what a Yennefer is but--" Eddie broke off, gasping dramatically when he figured it out. "You're the radio guy."

"Why, yes. I do do radio." Was this a fan? Oh, how nice!

"You're the one who talked shit about Metallica." Mild criticism at most, Eddie.

"I mean," Jaskier said, not remembering it at all. For him... it was just another Saturday. "I wouldn't call them the greatest."

Middling.

Those were fighting words, you Krull reject. "Get out."

Look, if you couldn't handle the truth...

"What?"

"You heard me," Eddie said, point his finger towards the door. "I own this place, apparently, and you have besmirched what is holy to me in my establishment."

Be more dramatic, Edward. Though, to be fair, as far as he knew he helped save Hawkins, Indiana, with the power of Metallica.

"So get your ass out."

"They're not even that good," Jaskier said, totally giving into the urge to be a bitch about this. "The drums? Awful."

"My guy, I will sic my teenagers on you," Eddie threatened. "They're hormonal, they have b.o. and they're stoned enough they'll do whatever I say like a zombie horde."

"Fine!" he said, tossing his hands up in a very dramatic way as he walked to the exit. "Enjoy being wrong with your musical choices!"

"You're not pulling off that outfit, I want you to know that!" Eddie shouted at Jaskier's back, flipping him the bird.

"Oh, you wish you could look this good in a doublet!" Jaskier shouted from the door.

Like a drama queen.
