Surf's Up - Tuesday Morning
It had been a particularly bad night and so with sleep being elusive, Billy had headed to the shop. He had already been there a few hours when the sun came up and the first of the Porgs started wandering around the beach. And after an early morning swim, Billy opened shop and tried to keep himself busy for the day. The new sim had been finished and tested and the latest inventory order had come in, so Billy spent the morning setting out the new swimming and scuba gear. Once that was done? Well, he would cross that bridge when he got to it.

Even if it had been a while since he had last done any wind surfing.
“Uh …hello?” he said awkwardly, looking around as he did.

"Hey," he said with a small nod. "Welcome to Surf's Up. What can I help you with?"

"Holosuit?" he blinked a bit at that, "I've never heard of that before," he admitted.

He couldn't help but give a small smirk at Cutter's confused look. It wasn't too long ago he had the same reaction to learning about holosuits and all that.
"Ah yeah, basically a simulation room. Can set it up for just about anything and will seem pretty real- short of getting hurt or dying or anything like that. So I've got a few sims set up for people to get a feel for the surfing, diving, or even just swimming."

He tilted his head slightly at the explanation of what a holosuit was, “I can see how that could be quite handy technology to have,” he admitted, “it honestly probably wouldn’t hurt to try and have a refresher, it’s been a while since I’ve done any kind of wind surfing, at least a year,” he added.

Billy glanced over at the Porg wandering around the shop. "Seems they have an interest in learning to surf. Have yet to see if there is any skill to go with that... but it's been interesting, to say the least."

There was another pause and then, “are they any good?” he couldn’t help but wonder.

"Sorry. I...sorry. I thought this might help."

"Thanks, Jon. Much appreciated," he said as he shooed away the Porg that had been perched on the other stool by the desk. "Got time to sit?" he asked with a nod towards the now available seat.

Because a good bit of this whole statement and dealing with the nightmares deal was to help Jon, so hopefully that was still the result most of the time.
"Saw you at the 3MD event. It was umm... something I will say that much" Billy said with a shake of his head.

"Good seeing you out and about in any case," Billy said. "Hows the class going? I hear the reports from radio but ya know how the squirrels can be- very vague about some things or suspiciously specific about others."
no subject
"Oh, it's, um. It's good, I suppose. We haven't done much yet, but they seem to be enjoying it and learning, and that's really all I can ask. And, uh...around here, is...I understand the porgs are learning surfing."

"So, talking about that and all..." Billy said giving Jon a glance over. "You been doing ok?"

"All the floof" Billy said with a nod. "Very therapeutic."

She certainly thought so.

Said the man who spent the majority of his time in a mostly empty apartment or a fairly quiet shop. But shhhh.... that wasn't the point.
