Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey had not been in the greatest mental state lately, but she was determined to shake it off for tonight. Which meant today was going to be a meditation day, with that goal.

So anyone who walked in today would find Rey sitting a couple inches above the floor, a totally normal thing.

Anakin came in and laughed. "You're getting better at that."

"It's because I'm serious about it," she said with a tiny smile,

Anakin smiled back. "I can tell."

Rey opened her eyes and set herself back on the ground. "I'm pretty sure I was at that a while."

"You looked very calm," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"I felt calm," she admitted. "I needed that."

[sith_happened]

Anakin smiled. "Good."

[thatwaslucky]

"How are you doing?" she asked, standing.

[sith_happened]

"Better since I saw Luke," Anakin admitted.

[thatwaslucky]

"Good talk?" she guessed.

[sith_happened]

Anakin nodded. "Very good talks. How was your weekend?"

[thatwaslucky]

"Better after seeing people. Including Luke," she said. "Now everything seems even quieter."

"In your head, too?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"A little. The trade off is that Poe has BB-8 back, so there are less distractions. So it's quieter, but more time to think." If that made sense.

"So still not that quiet," Anakin said with a tiny smile.

[thatwaslucky]

"That might be a while," she admitted. "But I'll get there."

[sith_happened]

"I have every faith in you," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"Thank you," she said. "I'm trying to be less annoying about it."

She felt annoying anyway, since she was annoyed with herself.

"You haven't been at all annoying about it."

[thatwaslucky]

"I feel boring," Rey stated flatly. "I have a party to go to and I can only hope no one asks how I'm doing."

Anakin gave her a sympathetic smile for that. "What's the party?"

"Annie's bachelorette party," she answered. "I'm not sure what to expect but I know there's a possibility I need to figure out Uber for people."

"Sounds like fun," Anakin said with a smile. "Where are you going?"

[thatwaslucky]

"Summer was talking about a fall-themed thing. Hayrides and things like that," she said. "It feel right."

[sith_happened]

"You're not going to Connecticut, right?" Anakin checked.

Because fall-themed everything was Stars Hollow's thing.

[thatwaslucky]

She frowned. "Just Baltimore. Why?"

[sith_happened]

"Rory's from Connecticut and it's like Fall threw up there," Anakin said.

Such a romantic he was.

Rey looked amused. "That's somehow very descriptive."

[sith_happened]

"Her hometown is very excited about fall festivals."

So many festivals, Rey. So. Many.

"Like the thing at Parents Weekend? Why would you need more than one?" Besides apple cider donuts.

[sith_happened]

"They're huge corn maze fans," Anakin guessed.

[thatwaslucky]

"That I don't understand," Rey said. "Why do that for fun."

[sith_happened]

"Not a lot else to do?" Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"I grew up not having a lot to do. I can't imagine walking into a maze of plants," she said.

[sith_happened]

"You can also get really lost?" Anakin said.

Look out, Rey, he'd turn this into a corn maze next.

"I can sense where people are and jump the walls," she pointed out. She was no fun.

[sith_happened]

"That sounds fun!"

Anakin, no. You're gonna get kicked out of corn mazes.

[thatwaslucky]

"Probably not to anyone else," she pointed out.

[sith_happened]

"They're just jealous of our jumping skills," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"Really they probably should be," Rey had to admit.

[sith_happened]

Anakin laughed. "We are pretty good at it."

[thatwaslucky]

"I took out a ship on Pasaana," she said.

The fact that she could casually bring up something from then might be progress.
