Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Tuesday [10/04].
With the school trip next week, this week was mostly about finishing up any projects Amaya had unfinished, although she was finding that there really wasn't a whole lot to take care of, in that respect.
Which meant today was mostly about not giving into the urge to start new projects, or at least trying to think of a project that could benefit from being started now, be left sitting for a week, and then finished up when she got back.
And that wasn't happening, but what else was she going to do? Just tidy up? That wouldn't do. So she figured she could at least maybe churn out a nice new set of daggers or something to put on the Etsy shop, or maybe one to gift Lucille for keeping an eye on the plants and lobsters as usual while she was gone. She'd always struck Amaya as someone who'd appreciate a good dagger, really, and she still had enough time to hammer out a good fancy one before next week.
The Forge is open!

"Hey, Amaya..." he called out as he entered. "How.... how's it going?"

"Dwight," she greeted back with a nod, keeping that curiosity at arm's length, at least long enough to get through the standard pleasantries. "It's going. How 'bout yourself?"

Dwight gave a small smile as he put the bag on the table with a somewhat satisfying thud.
"I had accumulated a good bit of odds and ends and scrap pieces. Figured I'd bring them over and see if you need any wood bits for anything."

"Well, all those hilts and handles sure aren't going to make themselves out of nothing," Amaya pointed out with another nod. "I'm sure I can find a good use for 'em. Thanks for bringing 'em by."

"'Preciate it," she said. "I'll have to see what kinds of scraps and bits of useful metal I might have laying around here soon to make sure I can return the favor. I'm sure you'll be able to find a way to put them to good use, too, just like I'm sure I will this wood here..."

"And on your side of things? How's business on your end?"

"You know," she mused, "last week, we fitted that crib of her we're working on with some ice materia to help fortify it against her fire. Wonder if we could do something similar for your pieces, too, just to make them a little more resilient in case her kiddo ends up being a firebrand like she is."

Really, that could probably be most things....although certainly not all!
