The Park; Tuesday Afternoon [10/04].
It had started in the dorms, a chance approach to the common room at the same time, distracted by greetings so that neither of them noticed the gremlin, one afflicted by that rare hunger to go biting that seemed so uncommon in this day and age, and now King Arthur and the brave, brave Brave Sir Robin set forth from the Round Table at Camelot (which was not, in fact, only a model) in their divine search, their Quest for the Holy Grail. And now they were prancing...no, no, sorry, riding....across the park on their horses that were definitely there and not just someone following behind them with two empty halves of coconuts that they were banging together.
Eventually, though, King Arthur brought his mighty steed to a neighing halt, taking a moment to look around at the fair isle their quest had led them to, and turned to his good knight. "I pray, Brave Sir Robin, if only we had some sort of sign to show us where to begin our search! Perhaps we may fare better if we should ask some of the common folk and villagers to point us in the right direction...."
[[ because it's been a while since a good old fashioned gremlim bite! "Brave Sir Robin" lovingly modded with permission! Open park is open...especially if you might happen to point them in the direction of a Holy Grail (or Grail-shaped beacon, at the very least) ]]

"Ummmm..."

GrahamKing Arthur nodded to his faithful Patsy so that they could redirect andpranceride over to greet her."Ho, there, young maiden!" he called out. "I am Arthur, King of the Britons, and I and my Knights of the Round Table have been sent on a Divine quest to seek out the Holy Grail. Might you know where we might discover such an artifact on this very isle?"

What else would it look like?
"Have you seen one?"

"Why, that is one of my very own Knights of the Round Table," he explained. "Surely you have heard the tales of Brave Sir Robin, who nearly fought the fierce dragon of Angnor, who almost stood up to the vicious chicken of Bristol, and who most certainly wet himself at the Battle of Baden Hill..."

This was not a game, Charlie.

She swung it around to the front of her and gave them a rousing chorus of "Leave her Johnny!"

with coconutson his own noble (and brave) steed."Aye, sir. Perhaps the peasants can offer us assistance."
Or maybe a witch trial? Those were fun!

Then Brave Sir Robin could bravely return home.
"Perhaps," he said, waving an arm towards the duck pond, "the Lady of the Lake might offer us assistance once more if the peasants prove unhelpful?"
Brave Sir Robin would be keeping a safe distance from those large pink birds though.

"Mayhaps," he allowed. "If need be, there may be some help there, but let us not resort to such things unless necessary. Those odd birds worry me, but I'm sure with my brave knights at my side, they shall prove by real quarry."
no subject
"Do you see any peasants, Sir? Shall we search further afield?"
Maybe somewhere with snacks that might enhance bravery!

"Fierce and murderous denizens, my liege?" That was obviously not a nervous look on Brave Sir Robin's face. "I am, of course, willing to complete our quest at any cost..."

“Uh…hello,” he wondered if this was a new LARP that Graham was taking part in.

"Excuse me, young peasant," he said. "I am Arthur, King of the Britons, and I have been sent here on a divine quest from the Lord to seek out the Holy Grail. Have you seen it?"

"Very good," he said. "And tell me, to whom does this stately castle belong?"
Hopefully not the French!

"Then I shall see if this powerful Fandom has the Holy Grail that I seek," he decided. "Thank you, peasant boy, you have been quite helpful."
He quirked his head to call Pansy (who was definitely there), held his reins before him, and began to trot back toward the castle.
