Coming into the bar for her shift to discover one less zombie on the stage was never a good thing, and Summer was tempted to just pretend she didn't notice and not think about it, but, honestly, a missing zombie did seem like something she should probably at least follow-up with a little bit.

Apparently, though, since they were working on that new country album, one of the guitarists felt the need to get more in touch with the genre and decided to do so by riding the mechanical bull in the back room, attempting to channel up a real Old West vibe.

It...did not last long.

"Rock, paper, scissors on who has to go collect all his body parts," Summer offered Tino, although she fully intended on planning to send him to do it anyway.

The band is currently missing one guitarist for most of the night, but don't worry! With a little duct tape and maybe a few stiches, he'll be good as new!

Goose was looking a little happier than when he had seen Summer on Monday, he tilted his head at the specials, “it’s a French theme this week?” He grinned and then looked at that last shot, “is the pea French as well?” he was rather curious to find out.

And here Summer had been thinking of maybe texting Gladio to come to the bar tonight to talk to Goose, but seeing him in a better mood than Monday left her hesitating and reconsidering, and she met his grin with one of her own.

"Probably," she said. "We are all French on this week before the school trip. You're going, right?"

"I am," Goose nodded, at least he sounded a lot more positive that he was going, "the trips are always good, I've never been to France," he had travelled a lot with his assignments but none had taken him to France.

Even though it would be weird to not be with Ignis this trip and he couldn't help think of the Africa trip that they had gone on.

Summer nodded a little, mostly confirming something to herself, that maybe it was best to just let Goose enjoy this coming week without bringing him down, not even thinking that there might be ~associations~ to worry about already.

Dutifully, she started lining up his shots. "Good," she said. "It should be really nice! I mean, the school trips usually are, and this one sounds like it could be nice and chill."

Which was good, because it was also leading right up into Annie's wedding, and the more chi Summer could get for that, the better.

Goose did smile at that, “even though I’m half expecting dad will call me back home if he figures out it’s break week,”

He was hoping he wouldn’t, despite his worry that he would miss Ignis’ return, he was still looking forward to the trip.

He also didn’t realise how casually he had just referred to Walsh as his dad either.

Eddie managed to crawl out of his horror movie marathon to stop at the bar on Wednesday. He needed to at least drink somewhere in public before he went back to drinking alone. Just to show he was a functional adult.

The occasional public drinking for appearance was important.

"A significant portion of the island's population is disappearing next week for the school trip," said Summer, realizing with more excitement than it should have inspired, that Eddie probably didn't know about the school trips yet. "We're going to France this time."

"I should have known this was one of those fancy ass private schools," Eddie said, shaking his head. "It's in a castle."

Summer gave him a sympathetic look, nodding in agreement that, yeah, that was a pretty good indication.

"To be fair, though," she added, as an alumna of said fancy ass private school, "this school is not exactly typical in anything, but the budget for these school trips has got to be insane.

"And you don't have a drink yet," she noted, because priorities. "What are we getting for you today, Eddie? And how have you been?"

"Really?" asked Summer, squinting at the special's board for a moment before grinning over at Rey. "Must be a Jedi thing, I definitely don't see it.

"Whatever the pie one is and a soda?" Rey asked. "I'm guessing you're excited about the trip."

"I'm always excited for the trip," Summer stated, fetching for Rey the requested shot and beverage combo. "The whole reason Stark and I are even teaching two classes is because the realized doing a community center class meant no free pass. What about you? Did you manage to mooch off anyone? Staying here to hold down the fort? Or using it as a chance to hit up home for a short spell?"

Summer had a feeling Stark was going to ask that, actually, so she was prepared.

"Because Liz was telling me about her first date with Prompto," she explained, "where they went to Cafe Fina and closed their eyes to pick random stuff on the menu. She got sea bass, he got pea soup, and I thought, 'that's disgusting,' and then I thought, 'that's a jello shot.'"

That was it. That was the whole thought process.

"And hello, Stark," she added a smile. "Will you be trying all five this evening?"
