Well, one of his players (the tabaxi, in fact, which made this very funny, if you asked him) had turned into a cat, and they were about to go on a weeklong school trip, so Graham was busy working that day not on anything directly related to the store (there wasn't a whole lot else to do anyway! But if there was, he'd do it, quickly, just to get it out of the way to get back to his other work), but on maybe some lighter, fluff ideas and interactions to throw at the group today before they really got started with the next leg of the campaign.

Considering the long list that was compiling throughout the day, he was not going to have any trouble coming up with something.

Even with the slight distraction of Saffron occasionally yowling at him accusatorily because he was clearly not the small pink kitten she could prefer to be there right now, and why was he here instead, and why wasn't he doing anything to change that fact, huh?

Graham mostly just tossed her treats in the meantime, hoping that would, if not entirely win her over, at least give her something else to focus on.

Charlie bopped into the store sometime late morning. "I apologize for not doing anything newsworthy yesterday," she said with a smile. "I'll try to be better next week."

Graham was just going to take a moment to look at Charlie, click his tongue in disappointment, and give a sad shake of his head. Plus a hand over his heart, so she knew how wounded he was that she would so personally sabotage him having anything interesting to read in the morning like that.

"I should certainly hope so!" he then remarked, unable to keep a straight face for that long and letting a little grin slip out. "It's the school trip next week! If you don't do anything interesting, then I think something is definitely wrong!"

Charlie dropped to one knee dramatically and bowed her head. "I am so very sorry and promise to do better from now on so as not to trouble your heart."

Then she bounced back up again and smiled at him. "I know. I can't wait! You are going, aren't you? Maybe we can explore together sometimes!"

"I am definitely going!" Graham assured Charlie, grinning broadly after allowing for one last moment of solemnity for display of recompense. "And we will definitely have to explore together at some point! Have you ever been there? I'm really excited to see what it might be all about!"

Have a seat, bring your snacks (or whole-ass meals), and try to get all the socialization, chatter, and looking up memes on your phone out of the way before the game gets started in earnest for the night.

Guillermo had his usual several containers of empanadas, he had definitely made extra since they were going to be away next week and that was also his reasoning behind making two pies again this week as well.

He had decided to try his hand at making lemon pie and a raspberry pie

“Hi,” he smiled as he arrived, carrying his usual large stack of containers and trying to balance everything.

Everyone knew that when you were going to miss out on some snacks, the only solution was just just eat more of them while you could! That was just how the world worked, really!

"Hey, Guillermo!" said Graham, with a grin and a wave, and then an immediate move to go help him out because, sure, he'd made it all the way here balancing all those containers, but that meant it would just be all the more tragic if they fell right before the finish line! "Here, let me get some of those!"

It would definitely have been a tragedy if all those containers had fallen, "hey Graham thanks," Guillermo grinned as he adjusted his position so that it would be easier for Graham to take some of the containers that he was covering, "I think I definitely got a bit carried away this week with the baking," he admitted.

Jo was definitely looking forward to another session as she turning up for the evening, with her usual offerings of sweets and chocolate.

"Oui," Jo said with a smile, since that was part of what limited French she did know, "the school trip sounds fantastic, it's been a while since I've been to France," she added.

"This week's been pretty good, not a lot has been happening but it hasn't been to bad," she smiled, "how about you?"

Kurt had gone a bit easier on the snacks this week. He just hadn't been feeling much like cooking lately.

But he wasn't empty handed! He had a container of chocolate chip cookies for everyone.

Any amount of food was good in Graham's book, really, and he smiled as Kurt came in, waving his hand. "Hey, Kurt!" he greeted. "How's it going? You ready for the school trip?"

Trying to ignore any odd feelings she might have had about not having seen Kurt yesterday, Libby smiled over at him.

"Hi, Kurt," she said. "Cookies this week?"

"Aye, quick and easy. And always a favorite it seems" he said with a grin, which turned a bit softer as he looked over at Libby. "And how... how have you been? I had meant to stop by the clinic yesterday but got busy trying to pack for the trip. Ya know... gotta actually do laundry and all that" he said with a smirk and a small laugh.

With how oddly lonely she'd been feeling this past week, Libby was definitely looking foreard to this and just being around her friends. She was almost worried that, with how things were going, the game would be cancelled for some reason, so she was relieved that it wasn't.

She'd miss Vi at the table, though, although she could definitely see Graham doing wonders in innovated way to turn 'our tabaxi is an actual cat right now' into a workable game mechanic.

And she brought all the sweets-countering veggies, of course, as well as some nuts, because Vi usually brought those, and they seemed to be a favorite of Graham's. She didn't want him missing out on those.

And, finally, of course, the moment had arrived to get the game started, and so Graham cleared his throat dramatically to get everyone's attention, and then, after letting the silence hang dramatically in the air for a moment, he began.

"It is a new day, in Cenmich," he started, "the quiet little vacation town you've all recently traveled to to witness a show by the great renowned bard Montague Silverchord, a show that certainly did not go as planned. After a rather dramatic night filled with plenty of twists and turns and a lot of fire, you all ended up with a job, hired by on Lady Debora Anastazia Melodica Agneesian Roth," how? How did he manage to actually remember the whole name?, "to escort her brother, Lord Donovan Alexsander Michelangelo Donatello Luigi Roth, to the city of Mount Freeland in the northwest. A rendezvous time has been arranged, but the day is still young, and there is much time to fill before you are set to meet up and head out. And so the town of Cenmich is laid out before you as the day begins to awaken, and people prepare for their days. Shops open, the smell of freshly baked bread fills the air from the bakery, and the day begins. And so I ask you all....what would you like to do?"

That's right, folks. It was time for the Shopping/Random Exploration episode!

"Amenken is going to want to stock up on supplies for sure before they head out," Kurt said thoughtfully. "So, he'll be looking for what shops and all are around."

Libby bit her lip a little, as an idea struck her, but, after catching Graham's eyes and feeling like he was pausing so much in order to give everyone a chance to chime in, she spoke up eagerly.

"Esthrana is also doing the same," she explained. "She wants to make sure she has everything she needs for her spells, and as she sets out, she spots Amenken, and, obviously recognizes him, so she'll wave and greet him with a 'good morning!'"

And Libby's hopeful look bounced over to Kurt to see how he'd respond.

Kurt gave a small grin and nodded at Libby.

"Amenken returns the wave and, having been intrigued by the seemingly magical healer of the group, he asks her to join him. There's safety in numbers and the town has already shown to be full of surprises and all sorts of characters. He points out a particularly interesting-looking shop nearby as a possible first stop."

Kurt looked from Libby to Graham, unsure if there needed to be any interjections- not wanting to run away with the story any.
