Look at who remembered she had responsibilities outside of the Darkhold today. Wanda hadn't showed up to work on time, but she had shown up. She had noticed the cats, sure, but she figured one of her employees was taking over the Halloween decorating since she sure as shit wasn't doing it this year.

Live cats was a little over the top though...oh well, not her problem.

She did conjure up some toys for them to play with though, she wasn't totally heartless.

"Well, Natasha," Wanda said. "Knowing her she probably amped those things up before the fight so you'd feel it."

"That seems like her," Steve said. "She got T'Challa too, at least?"

"She did come through in the end," Wanda said approvingly. "That's what I love about her."

Loved, anyway. Another person she would have wanted to see one last time.

Steve nodded. "I'm hoping for some call out of nowhere from her," he admitted.

"You'll see her again," Wanda said. "Just have to wait for things to die down."

Or for Thanos to become a real problem.

Steve's smile was pained. "I hope so," he said quietly.

"It'll get better," she assured him. "Tony wasn't wrong, by the way. And you know how much I hate agreeing with him."

"I won't tell him you said that," Steve promised. "He'll have it made a national holiday, somehow. Tony Stark Was Right Day. It'd be insufferable."

God, he missed him.
