Something tangled at the bottom of Arthur's cane as he was walking to the desk. "John?"

"It's some sort of lace? I'm not sure. It's white and frilly, and seems to have been cut off of clothing. It doesn't look like it was placed here with any intent."

"Hm." Arthur carefully leaned down to pick it up, then placed it on the desk.

"We could look into it instead of doing more paperwork," John suggested.

Arthur thought about it as he made his way to the chair. "Why not? The computer thing is supposed to work for research. Let's try to figure it out."

So they'd be spending the shift researching types and shapes and uses of lace on the computer.

There would be so much malware on this thing by the end.
