Sunday morning: J GoB
After their handwavey training session, Nell and Marc decided that it would be much more comfortable to eat inside somewhere warm. Nell would have been fine meeting at her house, but they decided to try out Jeff, the God of Biscuits instead.
Nell ordered some coffee and a couple of the more decadent looking pastries and went to find a quiet table while Marc waited for their food.
[Open for anyone's delicious bakery needs as well!]

"Here. Get it while it's hot I guess."
Marc had gone with the healthy option of coffee and donuts.

"Not bad being a morning person,"she said, "You get some of the freshest things."

Maybe in future years if Marc knew more people who had left and came back for it. Of course that assumed Marc making enough friends for that to even be possible.

Not that Marc would judge Nell for not enjoying things that required hanging out with large groups of people.

"And you? Are there any events you like?"

And meeting them, and talking to them...

So naturally, she gave the shop a curious look as she got an apple turnover to see who else might be out and about, and the woman at the table over there made her do a little bit of a double take, because, why, that looked like...
"Nell?" she asked tentatively, tilting her head as she stepped closer. It had been a while....it had been the trip to space with Ms. Beniko that they'd last seen her, but she looked....well, not to be unkind, but a fair bit...older than she recalled.

"It's Libby," she offered, looking up with an apologetic smile. "Er, well, Liberty, but I mostly go by Libby. We were in Ms. Beniko's class together, over the summer. And she took us to space on a trip that one time..."

She felt badly for not remembering her name right away.

She grinned a little. "But then I toss a couple of ice cubes in it, and, tah-dah! Iced tea."

She smiled at Libby. "I'm glad you liked the basket. He spent a good amount of time carefuly choosing what he thought you would like."

And if that admission was a little sheepish, it was nothing compared to her next response, a blush springing up to her cheeks that couldn't so easily be hidden by the duck of her head.
"And he didn't need to go through all that trouble," she said. "I'd have liked just about anything he'd pick out."

She noticed the blush, but didn't comment.
