Monday: Covent Garden Flowers

It had been a very quiet weekend and Nell had gotten a lot done at home and at her store, which meant that she could spend some extra time giving the flowers and plants here some extra energy. The flowers were particularly appreciative and apparently very much in the Christmas spirit as they were singing Christmas carols all day. Nell didn't know a lot of them, but she sang along with the ones she did know.

After Liz stopped by to see Summer, Liz wanted to visit Nell and tell her in person, since she wasn’t sure if she’d heard already on the radio, “hello?” she called as she entered.

"Liz!" Nell said cheerfully. "Come on in." She hadn't paid much attention to radio over the holiday, so she hadn't heard anything.

“Thank you,” Liz smiled brightly as she went further into the shop, resting her hand that had her ring on her bump so that it was proudly on display, “how have you been? How was your Thanksgiving?”

"My Thanksgiving was - Liz! Is that an engagement ring?!" Nell's eyes and smile were huge.

"It is," Liz smiled brightly as she raised her hand for Nell to see, "Prompto proposed on Thanksgiving, I said yes, we're engaged," she said happily.

"Oh Liz! Congratulations!!" Nell wasn't really much of a hugger, but if Liz allowed she'd give it a go.

Liz wouldn’t object to a hug if Nell wanted to give her one, she smiled brightly, “thank you, I wasn’t expecting it at all, he even got the cats involved, Hellboy tied the ring around Rain’s neck and when I picked her up that's how I found the ring, that’s when Prompto proposed,” she told her.

Nell did indeed hug her, then. "Oh that's wonderful," she said with delight. "The cats and everything. And Prompto! I'm sure he was a wreck. I'm so happy for you both!"

Liz smiled brightly as she returned the hug, "thank you," she said, "I wasn't expecting it at all so when he proposed I was completely surprised, one of the cats even climbed up on him when he did propose so I nearly missed when he asked the question," she added.

Nell chuckled, imagining the sight. "It must have been wonderful, if a little chaotic!"

"It was," Liz smiled fondly as she thought back to that night, "but I was so happy that he did propose, I still can't believe that he's my fiancé now," her smile widened.

"I'm marvelously happy for you," Nell said. "After all you've been through you deserve some wonderfulness."
