Turtle & Canary; Wednesday [11/30].
The Squishy machine had not been working when Shunsui came in that morning afternoon probably, and after a great deal of effort, he was finally able to get the repairwoman in to have a look at it.
But he was feeling generous today, and only teased her a little bit about the recent lack of maintenance check-ups on the poor thing and how it was only when he got Summer-chan involved to text her about it that she finally responded in any capacity.
"Well, how was I supposed to know it was actually broken this time?" Amaya groused back, before taking one look at the machine and knowing exactly what the problem was.
"Who decided to wrap the whole thing in gift wrap?" she wondered. "Including the air vents! You can't cover the vents, they have to be able to vent!" She took a moment to massage the migraine already building up between her eyes before turning her attention to Apu. "This your handiwork?"
Apu, of course, denied it, shrugging and saying it must have been the new guy. Amaya looked back to Shunsui as if to confirm, but Shunsui just shrugged, because he hadn't actually even been aware that there was a new guy. Well, maybe Summer-chan had mentioned it, but he clearly hadn't retained that information.
Well, whoever was to blame, Amaya could only do so much with some of the insides fried from being overheated due to poor ventilation, so she sorted out what parts needed to be ordered and replaced, slapped down a bill for services rendered, and tried to get out of there before Shunsui could start pulling out those sake cups.

Also neither of those things were Octavia's priority today. "Ha yun, Shunsui."
no subject
"Konnichiwa, Octavia-chan~ ♥," Shunsui sang out with a pleased smile to see her. "Dou yo, hmmm ♥?"

Well, there was at least one thing he knew awaited them in the very near future, because he had set out his cups on the counter and began to pour.

And, with that, he set the jug aside and scooped up the cups from the counter into his hand, to offer them out, one slightly more filled than the other.
"Either way you look at it, though," he added with a wink, "it is the perfect time for sake ♥."

Said the woman reaching out to carefully pick up (the less full) one of the cups. As she always did.
(Almost always, anyway.)

(Almost always, anyway.)
And with one cup chosen, Shunsui shifted his hand to better hold the one that remained, and held up a little between them with a nod
"To what do we toast today, Octavia-chan?"

So he lifted his cup a little more as he lifted his chin and pronounced, "To Wednesdays~ ♥. This Wednesday, and previous Wednesdays, and most of all, all the Wednesdays still to come ♥!"
That covered all the bases nicely, didn't it? One more duck of his head, and he brought the cup to his lips to drink.
no subject
It was fond, really.
no subject
Just, you know, so long as it didn't require...too much effort.
One more sip, and regarded Octavia with a little more sincere curiosity beyond the theatrics of those initial beats.
"How have you been, though? Any new exploits with your charming paramores? Or progress on that sewing project of yours? You know, I don't think I ever heard the conclusion of everything with that bracelet, either, Octavia-chan..."
no subject
I assume."The shoulder fell again.
"Sewings's still going on, but I'm out of practice, so it's... It's going."
no subject

"Anyway, I had a question."
no subject
Cup back to nearly brimming, he tilted the jug back up and then toward her in a silent question of his own with regards to her own.
"What's on your mind, Octavia-chan?"
no subject
Guess she could or should have asked Apu, but...
no subject
"For the Art Museum day, neh?" he asked. "I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. I just assumed Apu-san had dragged them out of storage in the back room. The amount of things back there is staggering, really....
"Why?" he then asked, picking up his cup. "Were you interested in taking one home after all?"
no subject
"I didn't see the one I'm looking for," she said. "Actually took me like a week afterwards to find a picture of it at all."
no subject
She nodded anyway, all too sincere.
no subject
"We'll be right on it, Octavia-chan ♥," he told her, then chuckled, faintly. "Well, Summer-chan will be, that's a bit more her wheelhouse than mine, but, I assure you, she is very good at what she does ♥. I don't suppose you have a title or artist for us? A description so we know what to look for?"
no subject
Oh.
"Blake."
Somehow she'd missed that part, before. And didn't really know how to feel about it.

"Okay," she said, with another tiny nod, trying to mentally shake off her faint surprise. "Thanks. Though I don't -- I think the title makes you think of something nicer than it actually is."
