Soooooo, apparently, going to her Baked Baking class actually baked and saying yes to consuming literally every suggestion Stark had made for her milkshakes was a terrible idea that Summer was paying the consequences for that day! But it was fine. In fact, she was pretty sure making terrible decisions was all a part of the post-break-up recovery process, although, she had to admit, this one was hitting way different than all of her previous break-up experience. Who knew, that getting over a month-long fling or an on-and-off again high school boyfriend was not at all the same as saying goodbye to nearly two-and-a-half years (good god) of someone who actually was pretty much perfect for you?
(Except, you know, the whole priorities thing).
Either way, she'd done the copious amounts of alcohol thing. She'd done the getting blazed out of her mind thing. She hadn't done the blowing up asteroids thing yet because there were emotions tied to her blaster cannons, so she figured the next step was clearly the messy, ill-advised hook-up. She was definitely starting to reconsider her previous decision that access to her cell phone ranked way higher than a Hargreeves hookup, and she started to realize that you know who she hadn't heard from in ages? Ethan. What ever happened to Ethan? Tricia would probably kno---oooh, Tricia Lange, actually, now that was an--ew. Eww, wait, no, Tricia thought Summer's dad was hot and slept with Shunsui at one of her birthday parties. Those tits, though....
It was when Summer started to wonder if it would be very difficult to track down wherever Hemorrhage had wound up that she realized this was a terrible idea and even she had limits, and, really, she should just reactivate her Tinder and go from there.
And that wasn't helping, either, as she swiped through with a sigh in the moment before people started filing into the bar, because, honestly? All she wanted right now was a dude with an insane jawline, absolutely no fashion sense, and whose ears turned red in the cutest way possible whenever she started to get even remotely weird with it...(which was...often).

And greeted Summer with a "Hey," and a questioning look in case she was picking up a vibe here.

"If you're ready for more sugar yet?"
He gave the specials board a curious look but didn't comment.
Re: The Bar - 03/01.
Summer looked at the cupcakes on the counter and felt both a strange tug on her chest and an uncomfortable twist in her stomach, and then she gave Stark a smile.
"I don't think I'm going to be ready for more sugar for a while," she admitted, "but I think I can make an exception for cupcakes. Thanks, Stark."
Re: The Bar - 03/01.
Somehow this had seemed like the time to do it though Stark still wasn't totally certain he'd made the correct choice.

But that was the easy part, and, in light of her and Nancy's conversation from a few weeks ago, she considered actually answering that question honestly, but...
"First," she said, "before I answer that question, you answer one for me first: what am I getting you to drink?"
Because she deserved to have her alcohol before any of that.
Re: The Bar - 03/01.
"Lemon drop sounds nice?" she offered, glancing at the specials. Unlike a couple of weeks ago, Nancy did not feel the need to do a minimum of five jello shots just to, like, be able to think. (Nor would she be repeating what had happened after she left the bar two weeks ago, ahem.) "And a beer. Something cheap."
Mostly because Nancy thought expensive beers were kind of gross, it turned out?

"Steven," Summer nodded and met him with a smile at a lower wattage than usual, but a smile all the same. "The usual?"
Re: The Bar - 03/01.
The question was open ended, just in case Summer hadn't wanted to be home yet.

He was still wearing his Galaxy Rangers uniform because he hadn’t bothered going across the street to change, “hey,” he said as he took a seat at his usual spot at the bar, “um…how are you feeling?”
He wasn’t sure if that was the correct thing to ask, he did still want to check in with Summer though and see how she was.
Re: The Bar - 03/01.
Also, this response worked beautifully for deflecting any and all attention from herself.
Re: The Bar - 03/01.
He was not entirely sure how that had worked but he hadn’t been able to get out of the assignment, “have I missed out on anything here?”
He’d only been gone a day but he knew how things could change here.
