Vi's day felt like it was having something of a theme, with the highlighted game display being made up of various party and social games, including an astounding number of variations on being some kind of werewolf.

Naturally the gremlins seemed to be gravitating towards those, though so far they were keeping their biting restrained to within their own group.

Steph returned from her post office run with both gyros and shrimp tacos, because she couldn't decide, and winced as she glanced toward the gremlins' table. "Oh god. Gremlin on gremlin violence."

Like Vi wouldn't happily eat both.

"They're really bad at that game, I don't think they've figured out a single werewolf."

That was why Steph had been fine getting both!

"Maybe they just really wanted the excuse to bite each other," she suggested as if she'd never come up with the thinnest possible excuses to attach herself to Vi for hours on end.

"Who would do something like that," Vi asked, leaning against Steph so she could look at the food she'd brought.

"Only a weird person," Steph replied without missing a beat as she slid the two takeout containers in Vi's direction.

"Exactly," Vi agreed, sliding one arm around Steph's waist as she hooked the containers with her free hand. "You're so good to me."

"Awwww, are you hungry?" Steph gave her a roguish grin. "I guess I can share my lunch with you. I guess."

"You're so generous," Vi said dryly. "However can I repay you."

"I'm sure you'll think of something." Steph blew a kiss at her, but she was helping unpack the food and spreading it out mostly in front of Vi.

"I mean, I am very creative," Vi said as she picked up one of the tacos.

"Extremely," Steph said, and she meant it sincerely despite her light tone. "Diabolically clever, even."

"A genius really," Vi said, quite deliberately through a mouthful of taco.

"Not to mention an absolute paragon of decorum," Steph said, absolutely deadpan.

Vi swallowed and grinned at Steph. "Naturally."

"You are, legitimately, the cutest," Steph told her with a smile that was just as unabashedly smitten now as it would have been around the time they first got together. "Did I make good food choices today?"

The only thing that was stopping Vi from spending the next ten minutes just goofily smiling back was that Steph had asked her a question. "Yeah," she said, snagging a bit of gyros meat and adding to her half eaten taco. "I mean you usually do, but today's pretty great."

"Both options sounded really good and I refused to make a decision between them," Steph admitted. "Especially since I knew you'd be happy with either one, so why not both?"

"Both is good," Vi said after trying a bite of her doctored taco. "Like, seriously."

"What can I say?" Steph leaned over to kiss her cheek. "I like making you happy."

"Me too," Vi said, grinned. Then after a moment. "Oh and making you happy as well."

[drumsticksandd20s]

"And rest assured that you do," Steph said, leaning into her as she swiped a taco for herself. "It's like that works out to our mutual benefit or something. Wild, huh?"

Vi grinned and leaned in to kiss her cheek. "Who would've thought something like that could happen?"

"Surely no one could have anticipated this, right?" Steph followed Vi's lead in adding some of the gyros meat to her taco and took a bite. "Oh, that's pretty damn good, you genius."

"No one at all." Vi looked even smugger than usual. "I thought so."

"You thought so?" Steph asked around another mouthful. "Or you guessed as much?"
