Fandom Museum- Monday Morning
Connor had the morning to-do list done, everything in order, doors open, and he even had his name tag on- ten minutes before the museum was even supposed to open. He was posted at the desk, coffee in hand, laptop out, and a couple of pages of notes scrawled into his notebook.
It was an inventory list of sorts, but nothing from the museum. Rather, it was his own personal collection of comics, action figures, and other geeky stuff. It had been a while since he had actually stopped and gone through all those boxes that he had somehow accumulated over the years. So the weekend had been spent sorting and going through some of them. Connor stared at the rather long list and gave a whistle.
"Halfway through sorting, and it's already this long? Where in the world did ya actually find time to get all this stuff in the first place mate?" he asked with a laugh as he shook his head.
The Museum is open!

“I hope you’re hungry,” he announced by way of greeting as he held up the bags, “I bought a lot of Chinese food,” he smiled as he approached.

Connor gave Cutter a small grin. "Could always do a lesson or two on fossils. How they are made, why they are rarer than people think, what we can learn from them.... Could make for a few interesting classes."

Then he considered Connor's suggestion, "actually that wouldn't be a bad topic to cover and it would fit in with the evolution and extinction themes that I have been covering in class, fossils would be a good next step," he considered.

It wouldn’t be that hard to mess up making sandwiches right?

"I umm.... I hope you grabbed silverware when ya grabbed the food," he said with a small laugh. "For some reason, the junk drawer at the desk here was, ummmm. very glittery the last time I took a lunch break here. Was trying to get the bloody glitter off my hands the rest of the day!"

Ya know, just a small mildly insane quirk of living in a place like Fandom. Connor smiled as he took the chopstick with a nod.

He also was not expecting to run into his former boss and best friend who was supposed to be dead... but that was a conversation Connor had not yet figured out how to have.
"There's no anomalies and creatures attacking but... it has its own type of oddness that's actually... kinda nice in its own way."

He really could get used to this. It just felt so simple.... normal... nice even.

He didn't say anything, just smiled up at Connor, his cheeks now turning rather red as he did.

"So, curried chicken is a definite favorite. Got any others that top the list? Ya know... in case I need something for future reference" he added with a small smirk as popped a piece of the chicken into his mouth.

He really did like Chinese food.

He never thought that would be something he would be doing. Talking about future dates, or dates at all, with Cutter and talking about a possible future... together. Never in a million years. But it was very nice now that it actually was happening, and Connor couldn't help but smile at that.
