Shunsui felt his naps at the counter today were a little more warranted than usual that week; recent chats in hot springs regarding poetry and drowning had sent an itch to the back of his brain, like digging spectral fingers, that he knew wouldn't stop until he slipped into a state of Jinzen to handle it directly. And it was very rare to come out of a Jinzen without feeling both emotionally and physically exhausted.

It was always worth it, though, and not just for the peace of mind that followed, but he wasn't exactly in a rush to have to do it again.

(Deftly ignoring that that was part of the problem).

So it was plenty of naps that day, though that wasn't anything new, although there were moments in between where Shunsui was just sort of oddly fascinated by the demonstration Apu was doing by the Squishy machine of a variety of different vacuum-sealing products that they carried in the store. And, while Shunsui certainly did not have the facts to back it up and was definitely too lazy to bother looking it up, he couldn't help but feeling like maybe something had gotten a bit lost in translation today.
