Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey was okay with the temperature (with layers) and when she saw there was a chance of rain she decided to have school outside today.

She was outside in the space between warehouses, doing drills, which would probably look funny to anyone who might be wandering aimlessly around the district. But the change of scenery was nice, and activity kept her from wanting to put on another layer like a wimp.

Woolen Jedi robes were not the best thing to be wearing in a cold rain, and yet here was Anakin, wearing them.

"Hello, Rey."

"Hi," she said, smiling without stopping what she was doing. "I felt like a change of scenery today."

"To a place where your shoes get wet," Anakin teased.

[thatwaslucky]

"Not with the right boots," she said proudly.

[sith_happened]

"And you have the right boots," Anakin guessed with a grin.

[thatwaslucky]

"Well, I don't like wet feet," she explained.

[sith_happened]

"I think only Mon Cals might like it," Anakin said, laughing.

[thatwaslucky]

"It's fine when you're barefoot," she said. "The wet socks are worse than wet shoes."

Anakin shuddered. "Just the worst," he agreed.

[thatwaslucky]

"We can go inside if you'd like," she offered, adding a little spin.

[sith_happened]

"Please," Anakin said, grinning. "I'm old."

[thatwaslucky]

"You're not," Rey said, but she shut off her lightsaber right away to open the door.

"I'm older than you are, at least," Anakin said. "Slightly."

[thatwaslucky]

"I'll accept that," she said, letting him in first due to his advanced age.

Soon he'd get himself a walking stick to thwack people with, just like Yoda!

"It's why I have such advanced wisdom," Anakin added modestly.

"Of course," Rey nodded. "I can get a towel."

She got wet training indoors often enough, this was nothing.

"Please," Anakin said, "but only if woodchucks aren't sleeping in it."

One could never be too careful.

Rey paused before making it to the locker. "Have they been doing that?"

"I wouldn't put it past them," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"I'll take them back to wash today," Rey decided, tossing him a towel.

[sith_happened]

"That's a good idea," Anakin said with a nod, then a suspicious look at the woodchucks.

"I'm sure it's fine," she said, read only sure, taking one for herself. "Besides wet, how are you?"

[sith_happened]

"Wet," Anakin said, grinning.

[thatwaslucky]

"You're hilarious," Rey told him dryly. "How about the besides part of that?"

[sith_happened]

"Well, my kids have rediscovered what is possibly the galaxy's most irritating song," Anakin said.

"Do I want to know?" Rey asked warily.

[sith_happened]

"You really don't," Anakin said. "It's an exercise in patience. I would've killed the duck three days into the ridiculousness."

She was going to need context, Anakin.

She didn't want to ask. Asking led to hearing more.

"The duck?"

[sith_happened]

"The duck," Anakin repeated, pulling out his comm and get the video loaded.

Rey listened patiently for a while. Then, "Oh it goes on like this."

Anakin nodded. "And it'll get stuck in your head for days."

[thatwaslucky]

"Thank you for that, then," she said lightly.

[sith_happened]

"I did it to all of my students this week."

That didn't make it better, Anakin.

"Is that ethical?" Rey asked.

[sith_happened]

"Sure," Anakin said airily. "You can learn interrogation techniques. What can this duck teach us?"

[thatwaslucky]

"That actually went darker than I expected," she admitted.

Anakin laughed. "Sorry."

[thatwaslucky]

"You're not." Sge knew you, Anakin.

[sith_happened]

"I'm not," Anakin said. "But I probably should be."
