"My turn today," Miguel informed the cook in no uncertain terms. "You can do the Easter stuff or whatever. I'm on this."

Look, when it was National Empanada Day, you didn't leave it to someone else.

The cook rolled his eyes at Miguel and lay claim to a good portion of the grill top, scrubbing it clean.

Luke's was open!

"Should have known you would be all over a day like this" Dwight said as he walked in and took a seat. Was is the fact that it was National Empanada Day that made him come out of hiding? Maybe. Possibly. Most likely.

Miguel grinned and slid a coffee Dwight's way. "How many can I get you?"

That got you another grin and an appreciative toast with said coffee, Miguel.

"Let's go with an order of Beef and Pork both to start," Dwight said with a grin.

"Beef and pork," Miguel agreed. He went back and got enough for an order, then slid that over, too. "So how have you been?"

"Been alright, enjoying the small lull between busy seasons. otherwise just plugging along, keeping busy. Class has been decent, so that is good." Dwight took another drink of the coffee. "What about you? Survive the whole Rosa being a panther thing again?" he asked as he started in on the empanada. He had heard radio and figured Rosa would be the only anoyed black panther taking up residence at Diaz and Ass.

"The hardest part is convincing the dog she's not about to be eaten," Miguel said. "Gives my shoes a little break, at least. But yeah, it's all good. Think she mostly terrified her assistants. Though to be fair, she does that on a regular day."

"That DOES kinda seem to be Rosas MO doesn't it" he said with a small smirk. "Thankfully the whole rash of animal transformations bypassed me this time around."
