Atlas Gym; Tuesday [05/02].
Thankfully, the werebeasts had seemed to leave the gym relatively alone through their whole little rampage through the island; he'd spent a good deal of yesterday just double-checking for any damages on the equipment that might not be immediately noticeable, but everything had passed inspection, with the exception of a few weight machines that came off a little wonky. It had been revealed, however, that this was because one of the staff had been hitting them a bit too hard over the weekend, and the damages were completely unrelated to any animals.
Except, of course, the absolute beast she became when in the groove.
So those ones had some Out of Order signs on them, but there was still plenty of equipment to go around.
Well, except for the rowing machines; there was a group of gremlins that had sort of taken over those that Tuesday, with one of them wearing a nautical cap and occasionally blowing on a whistle to keep the others in pace with each other in a way that made Gladio kind of wonder if they had some sort of rowing team or were just really serious about prepping for an excursion out to the Isle of Ikea.
Atlas is open!

"I have no idea where that is," Gladio responded, smiling right back and not even a little ashamed about it.

Especially the disparity of shirts, but so help him, if he didn't love a good beach jog through all that sand.
Gladio then peeled off a silver star sticker from the sheet he'd had in his pocket and handed it over to Steve, balanced on the end of his finger.
"Good luck, though," he added, a totally normal thing to tell people before a wedding, really! "Hope everything goes well."
Sure, the last two weddings Gladio had been to had been fine, but all it took was one doozy like the one before that to sort of put a damper on things.

Kind of had 'we're totally here to sign a peace treaty' vibes, if you asked him.
"He been out for long?" he wondered, also thinking, more than a little, about Aranea deflecting to their side, but, then again, she was a merc, her loyalties had always been to the highest bidder, but, thankfully, the fate of the world was a prettier price than some Niflheim gil.

"About a year," Steve said, frowning. "There was a whole thing where he went to find himself as a line cook in Vancouver--"
He wished he was kidding.

And, ironically, the whole line cook of it all also made sense to him, considering who his roommate was.
"Huh," he said, head tilted with interest, although, really, a year was not long at all, Steve. And weddings, man, were just bad news
(The last two perfectly fine ones notwithstanding).
"How's that working out for him?"

Maybe even at weddings!
"I have a feeling," he added, "this guy and Iggy would get along great. Maybe that's what he should get into now, law; he'd probably make a great lawyer."

Very begrudgingly, sure, but that still counted!

"And that's the important part," Steve said. "How was your week? I had to fill out paperwork because all the Troopers turned into animals."
no subject
And the same reluctance to admit to the next part as he'd had since.
"Kinda fun, actually. Hate to say it, but I kinda miss getting to do shit like sometimes."
