Summer said, with uncertainty, as she came in and Apu handed her a cupcake, which immediately made her suspicious, except that he'd also given another cupcake to the cheese panda, and also, Summer knew that if Apu poisoned her, he'd only be making things worse for himself, so she accepted that, yes, Give Someone A Cupcake Day was apparently a thing, and now she had to also add a pitstop to the clinic to her schedule when she took a bit of an extended lunch to also swing by the Forge to discuss with Amaya the progress on the Squishy Machine.

Could she do that on her free time? Sure. But why would she when she could pretty much do it on the clock?
