The Devil's Nest, Monday Night

The Devil's Nest was back to as normal as it normally go there, and so when Eric swanned in after the sun had gone down, Tiny had already restocked the back storage area and proudly presented Eric with a drink made with the new vodka.

"Thank you," Eric said with a smile, settling in against the bar and waiting for something interesting to happen.

Well, at least the wobble in her expression was gone, again. Back to the good old raspy-and-unimpressed combo.

"Yes," Eric confirmed, smirking.

"Not at all, but I can pretend it is to make you feel better," Eric said.

"I'm fine," Octavia rasped, aware that she'd already said that. "You'd think you'd be the kind of person who's easily distracted into talking about himself."

She downed what little was still left in her glass.

"Oh, normally, yes," Eric agreed, smirking. "I'm being contrary right now to irritate you."

Hard to believe he got into pointless decorating wars with Lucifer, huh.

"So now my mood is the prey?"

Eric grinned. "Exactly. I'm a thousand years old. I have to keep entertained somehow."
