Apu was a little surly today, because he was realizing that all of his efforts gone into National Mushroom Hunting Day were completely lost on Shunsui. What good was it to have hidden mushrooms all throughout the store, if the other person working wasn't even going to move from behind the counter unless absolutely necessary? It should have fallen on a Monday, really, because then at least he'd know Summer would be in aisles doing inventory and discover all the great mushroom possibilities.
Ah, well. At least he could put up a sign adversiting an extra 15% off your purchace if you managed to find a mushroom during your shopping, and at least the cheese panda was playing along with a variety of different truffle-infused cheese over at his shiny new cheese area of the store.
In his defense, though, Shunsui was actually doing...some business related things at the counter. He was texting with their repairwoman about the status of the Squishy machine!
...and a lot of other things that probably didn't belong in a correspondance about work, but there were some mentions of the Squishy machine in there, it counted!
