Well, the changes that Steve had suggested were well under way and the facade of the building was less overtly modern than Tony liked, but matched the other buildings nearby better.

Nothing like an old fashioned version of the Stark name in cast iron to fit the vibe.

Patriot lay snoozing at his feet as Tony double checked on supply orders and the updated time frame for completion.

"Look at us, giving back to the community," he teased.

"We should get awards," Steve said dryly. "What else have you finished up?"

"I showed Wanda her floor." And the ballroom.

"I missed Wanda?" Steve looked disappointed. "Did the floor meet with her approval?"

"I think so! I let her know we can make any changes she might need."

And that she was being used as a sacrifice for Tony to avoid morning exercise.

But Tony! Leg Day!

"Does she still want a ball pit room for Patriot?" Steve teased.

"We didn't get to that one, sadly." But it was happening.

Steve was regretting bringing it up already.

"Did you show her the ballroom?" Steve asked.

"I think she liked it!" Of course Tony did.

Steve smiled. "I'm sure she was very impressed. How's our section coming?"

"I'll need your input on the furniture," Tony said, flipping a display over toward Steve.

So much modern, impractical furniture.

Steve made a tiny face. "This doesn't seem all that...sturdy."

"Sturdy?" Tony asked, raising an eyebrow. Because that had some implications there.

"Well, were-elephants," Steve said, blushing.

And other things.

Tony hummed smugly and looked at the screen. "Should I let you pick?"

"Maybe for the living room," Steve said. "The kitchen can be as modern as you want."

It only held takeout anyway.

Oh, the coffee maker was going to talk now, Steve.

"I'll take that."

Steve grinned. "Compromise is an important part of any relationship."
