Pixie Dust; Thursday [06/15].
A sign had been posted outside of Pixie Dust that morning, by mysterious means, because Boc certainly didn't put it out there. Boc didn't even know it was there, but it proudly proclaimed that they were running a special on last minute alterations and adjustments for semi-formal wear in light of this gala tomorrow.
A gala that Boc himself only knew about because he'd gotten another appointment for an adjustment for a suit for Stark from Summer, an encounter he was still rather recovering from, because there had been insistence that he should go, which he'd eventually agreed to just to get rid of her.
Whether or not he actually would was still uncertain. He was still sort of doing a cost-analysis on what would be worse: suffering through a social event as a whole or suffering her wrath if he didn't show up.
Sometimes he really did wish he could have just stayed a tree.
Pixie Dust is open!

"Hello, Boc."

"Oh! Ah--oh, erm, yes, yes, hello," he stammered out, looking up from a cuff he was mending at the counter. "Hel-hello, yes, your suit. Here. Let me fetch it."
And he clammored down from his boxes at the counter to grab it where it hung in its garment bag, waiting to be fitted.

"No, no," he then said, wagging his head back and forth, "not at all, it isn't as if I've got much else to do, anyway."
But he now had Stark's suit and was handing it up to him with a certain sort of reverence.
"And here's the suit she she sent over. You'll know how this goes, by now. Try it on and we'll see what needs adjusting."

"She chose something lovely. Again. I like the color."
Of course he did. Which, of course, Summer would have known.
"I'll go change. Just a moment."
And Stark disappeared into the dressing room, reappearing several minutes later decked out in his fine new clothes.

"I've always been quite careful! The buttons weren't my fault!"
Perhaps this time it would be a split seam or two? Or maybe someone was going to find the reinforced buttons a challenge.
"It feels like it fits well enough?" But Stark's definition of 'well enough' wasn't necessarily the same as anyone else's.

But then his focus went entirely into checking and measuring, with his hands pawing slightly more against the back of the suit. "A bit tight in the shoulders, it seems."
no subject
"She doesn't mean to harm the suits." Or maybe she did. Maybe it was a challenge.
"Oh. Is that...is that something you can fix?"
no subject
"Oh, yes," he assured Stark, already stretching the measuring tape across his back for measurements. "Quite easily, really, it shouldn't be any trouble at all, especially if it's just a little bit, and it would make it far more comfortable throughout the night, I'm sure."
no subject
"Oh, good. I would hate for Summer's efforts to have gone to waste if it wasn't fixable. I'm glad it's fixable. What do you need me to? Just hold still?"
