Caritas, Saturday
Well, it was safe to say that Tino was prepared for the 4th with the massive amount of red, white, and blue decorations going on.
"You know it's not until Tuesday, right?" Jane asked, looking around at the bar that looked like patriotism had thrown up all over the place.
He had not known, it seemed. As the rest of the evening was filled with sullen silence on his end and glares as he pulled down each decoration like it offended him.

"Hello, Jane," Stark said as he walked in.
He gave Tino something of a look but didn't comment. It was almost always best not to comment.

"Hi, Stark," Jane said, glancing away from Tino's 'work' to offer him a smile.

"How are you?" he asked, sliding onto a stool. "Quiet week?"

"And I hope it wasn't bad less interesting. Sometimes not interesting is just necessary. And sometimes it's better not to be interesting. Sometimes things are far too interesting. You've been well?"

All things considered.
"I was actually thinking about maybe doing something on the beach for the holiday."
no subject
Jane, you were going to have an overexcited Muppet bird at your beach party.

And he tried not to sit alone in his apartment drinking ever because that could only end badly.
"How are you, Amaya?"

"I wouldn't want to be near her with a weapon. I signed up for your class, again."
Speaking of weapons.

"And did you now?" She beamed a bit proudly there, but, well, she'd have been a little disappointed if he didn't, since he was the one to suggest to her that she should keep up on the blacksmithing stuff again for the second session. "That's great, Stark! I'm real excited to start teaching some of the more interesting stuff, too, I think you all'll have a great time with it."

"I did," he confirmed, smiling. "I enjoy it. All of the steps and then having something tangible at the end. Something I can look at and go 'I made this.'"
And maybe show off. That might be fun.

Look, there weren't as many sword users on the island these days! They could always use more!

Maybe he could ask Gladio?

"Hey, there, Jane," she greeted as she took a seat and nodded. "How's it going?"
Well, besides the apparent de-decoration, anyway, but Amaya wasn't sure quite yet if she wanted to know more about that.

But then, a moment later, she did have to ask: "What did you do?"

And Tuesday? Not her shift.

Which was a pretty cavalier attitude for someone who worked with fire every day of her life, but, then again, maybe that was just because she worked with fire every day of her life.
"But overall," she concluded, "that was probably a wise decision on your part. Not the kind of bonfire I think anyone wants on a Saturday night."
Or probably technically any night, but who was she to judge?
no subject
She nodded, trying not to think about how it would have been job creating. "What can I get you?"

Look, they took getting drunk seriously there.
