Devil's Nest | Thursday Evening
It felt weird to say Annie was feeling good this week, in the wake of Alex's visit. It had been hard in so many ways, seeing him again (and getting to apologize, and getting told she had nothing to apologize for, repeatedly), but it had also given her a sense of peace that she'd been missing since that night in August last year. Her faith was still...tricky, or at least the practices of her religion still felt a little distant and like something she didn't need anymore, but it helped so much to know that where Alex was now, he was happy. That was all she'd ever really wanted to believe in, anyway, when you got down to it -- that souls kept going, that your actions on Earth mattered, and that it wasn't all just for nothing.
So anyway, it was a fairly thoughtful Annie who made her way behind the bar tonight, distracted to the point that she was all settled in before she even realized she hadn't come up with a theme for the specials. A google search told her that tomorrow was some kind of French holiday, so that would work.
~*Specials*~
Kir Royale
French Martini
Blueberry French 75
And now to read up on what the hell a bastille was, anyway.
[and I will have the Rush song stuck in my head the rest of the day, now. open, warning for some SP in the middle of the afternoon when I gotta get in a car for awhile!]

'Fun' being a bit relative here.

'Abrupt' was a good way to describe a murder, sure.

Marc had seen them, it just hadn't been good.
