"Whatever it is, Apu," said Prompto, almost as soon as he walked through the door of Turtle & Canary, lifting a hand to stop the flow of whatever nonsense was going to be attempted to be thrown his way, "I do not want to hear it, okay? I am going to come in, I'm going to do my job, and you're going to leave me alone, got it? I already got Summer to agree to force you to take a vacation if you don't, alright? So don't fucking push it with me today."

Well, that was....quite the entrance, there, Prompto, and Apu was going to slowly take the barber's shears he had in his hands and tuck them against his back, out of sight, so that Prompto never even had to know how he was planning on insisting on a much needed hair cut in honor of Men's Grooming Day.

But, hey, mens' toiletries and self-care products were going to be 25% off today, still, at least!

And he'd be happy to pass that haircut along to anyone else who might be interested.

Well. Prompto dud drag his ass to work that day for a sense of normalcy again; he should have expected that would include Liz's usual lunchtime text. He got it, read it, took in a deep breath and tried to muster up a response.

At least it was a lot easier to pretend over text, but he still couldn't bring a whole lot of enthusiasm to it.
